(78 reviews) Everything about the Mount Nevis Hotel was superb! The rooms are clean and cheerful with gorgeous, to-die-for, views. The bed (yes, going there) -- was the best and I slept so well. The staff is beyond friendly and let me tell you, it's been a LONG time since the management and owner took the time to greet us and check in with us just the right amount of times. The food was great. The atmosphere, perfect. Peace and well-being, sense of safe/security (not that it was needed -- just good to know as I'm an "older" traveler). Great guests (iinteresting!). I'll never stay any place else on Nevis. (110 reviews) Beautiful view, spacious with a kitchen. It's a nice spot. However you get what you get once you arrive (ie. don't ask for anything). Very minimal kitchen supplies, Ice maker didn't work and panel to adjust refrigerator/freezer temperatures was broken. We called the front desk 3 times to get ice. Each time they said they would send someone up but no one ever came. Also there are no nearby grocery stores, so unless you have rented a car, it's a hassle to try and stock the kitchen. Restaurant was very good and quick beach walk to the Beach Bar which was terrific. Indian restaurant across the street was exceptional too. A areia estava maculada com muitas algas mas fui informado que parte das algas são deixadas na praia pois fazem parte de um micro ecossistema. Atrás da praia existe uma lagoa que à época exalava um cheiro forte de mangue. Cockleshell Bay is a bay of clean water and calm sea. The beach is good for kids. At the time I visited it, the infrastructure was small, with only one bar and one restaurant. The sand was contaminated with many algae, but I was informed that some of the algae are left on the beach because they are part of a micro ecosystem.
