Nice Place
The place was as described. The kitchen equipment was great - there were enough plates, silverware, mugs, glasses, etc. The cooking equipment was good, too. Suggestion: small bowls and plates. The dining room table only had little benches to sit on. We brought in the chairs from the front porch. There is no sofa. The living room and study (combined) had 2 easy chairs, a day bed, and these really odd "theater seating." The theater seating was really just put together, 2 level frames with mattresses under the covering. It was OK. I found it uncomfortable, but others liked it. It is as shown in the pics. The biggest problem was that roofers began showing up at 8 am Saturday. Fortunately, we are all early risers. The roofers themselves were very good about not parking in the driveway or dumping the shingles there. However, Saturday was our last day, and we felt a little pressure to leave earlier than planned. Of course, homes need maintenance, but you should not rent your house for the days workers will be fixing it.

We never received the entry code to the home and i ended up having to call VRBO customer service. I did end up getting an alternate number which allowed us to finally get a entry code. It was quite stressful. The house was clean and looked as pictured. The yard unfortunately was very over grown and not at all pleasant to be in. The kitchen was well stocked and the stove worked well. The water pressure in both showers was good and there were quality towels provided. The master bed on the pallet frame was awkward and not super comfortable. This room would be better with addition of a small dresser in which to place clothes you do not hang up. We lived out of our bags. The second bedroom was comfortable for my son. We did use the screened in porch and the ceilinf fan was nice in there. This house had several ceiling lights that hubg VERY low and we had to walk around them(and i am quite short!!). Overall nice for the price but definitely needs better lawn care!

Hi Julie! Thanks for your review. We really apologize for the code mixup at the beginning- as we mentioned, the owner who was meant to send to you had their phone stolen. We also want to apologize for the state of the lawn! We have had some issues with our landscapers and lawn maintenance crew and are working on finding new teams. We’ll absolutely take your note about the dresser in the main room into consideration, thank you for that. As for the low ceilings- it’s an old house! Very nice
Great location, easy access to town and parks! It was nice to be so close to a grocery store so that we could get all we needed for the stay. It is a beautiful area and the house is situated close to a number of parks and preserves! The house is thoughtfully laid out with wonderful light and windows. We were thankful for the access to a washing machine as we got unexpectedly caught in a downpour! And having breakfast on the enclosed porch was a treat!

Comfortable stay
We had a comfortable stay. The house was cute, clean and equipped with all of the necessities. The only disappointment was the yard was not mowed. It was very overgrown, like a field, and ticks were a concern. It prevented us from using the backyard fire pit. Also wish there was a grill. It wasn’t listed as an amenity but would make a great addition to the rental. Everything we did was about 20 minutes away. Short drive with no traffic. The house is located on a quiet road. The owner communicated well. With all that being said, we would rent here again.

Short Getaway from the city
The house was lovely. Well-equipped kitchen and the living room was a lovely place to relax. Our bedroom was cool and comfortable but the bedroom my son slept in was very hot and really needs an AC unit. The outside area is a little sparse and needs a little TLC. Overall though we had a lovely stay.

twins get together
excelent time, the house was beautiful nice and clean/ my twin and I have a great time with our boyfriends, did fire outside, the dogs have a plenty space to run, romantic dinners ect.....did some nice hiking, we will like to come back one day.

Charming, renovated old house
It's an amazing getaway! The house is exactly as pictured. You will enjoy this if you enjoy a quiet reading nook and a custom couch that fits your entire crew in front of the TV.

Great Getaway
We just spent a few nights in this lovely home. The pictures are accurate, it is very clean and has amazing bedding, a kitchen with everything you need and an overall great place to spend time. The rooms are large and decorated in a modern and clean way. We took our small dog and children and we all had a great time. The owner is very responsive and check in / check out was easy. It's close to a great restaurant 3rd and Co, hiking at Sam's Point and near to New Paltz. Only one small draw back is the lack of a comfy sofa. After a day hiking we wanted to hang out and there wasn't a comfortable sofa. There were plenty on chairs but no sofa. This, however, did not ruin the trip and we would love to stay again in the future. Lynne

AMAZING!
I can’t say enough about our stay at this amazing property. The house was exactly as pictured, gorgeous and clean, the check in process was easy and the host and housekeeper were so easy to communicate with. We brought our 2 dogs and they had a blast playing fetch in the yard. The area is GORGEOUS with so many hiking trails and cute neighborhoods nearby. It was THE PERFECT place to get out of the city. The house was complete with literally everything you could need. Alex and the housekeeping agency were spectacular, they left us to enjoy our stay but also were only a quick text away! I could go on and on. I’m even hesitant to write this review because I know everyone will want to stay here lol!! Just treat this gorgeous house as if it were your own please everyone it’s perfect. We can’t wait to be back. Thank you so much for hosting us!!!

We loved our stay. We seen a lot of wildlife and house was very clean. Only complaint is the stairway is very narrow and awkward. Elderly would have difficulty going up and down! Also no microwave!

Beautiful and comfortable vacation home
The house was even more gorgeous in person and had every convenience you could need to make a family vacation run smoothly. A well stocked kitchen, fully stocked laundry room, and plenty of quality toiletries and cleaning supplies. Everyone had a great time, including our family dog!

Great Stay, But Please Read
This is a very cozy, cute home to stay in. We celebrated our 10 year friendship anniversary for a long weekend and had a lot of fun! A few things to note - The host had a different check in time on the listing than on the welcome email I received an hour before arrival… we were on the way - The pizza oven is impossible to use. The host sent me a video but it was not applicable to the kind of “oven” present. This was a let down but we made yummy pizza in the oven - The second bedroom upstairs is sooo hot. Two people slept on the couch/small bed downstairs instead.

Family adventure to the Gunks
The farmhouse was just as pictured and a great place for our family to stay. We enjoyed how the house was decorated and the kitchen was well appointment with nearly everything we needed. The set up was good for the kids (4 and 10) and the location was a decent launching off point for our adventures to Sam's Point, Minnewaska, New Paltz and beyond.

Beautiful Mountain Escape
We had a great time staying here. The place was beautiful, modern, and very clean. As a family of 4 plus 2 dogs, the space was large and perfect for us since we don't like to be crammed together on vacation. The pictures posted were accurate. It was dog friendly and upon arrival it was traceless of any smells or dinginess associated with previous dog friendly places we have been to. The beds and pillows were comfortable which is something very important to me. The place also had all the amenities needed and beyond such as nice quality pots and pans, nice dishware, coffee, tea, sugar, salt, spices, washer and dryer, detergent, dryer sheets, games, book, TV, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and towels. No microwave, but you can always reheat food in oven or on stove. The home was conveniently located near the mohonk preserve, the shawgunks, restraunts, and large supermarket. We highly recommend this place and we will be back.
