"The property was beautiful and the home was very well appointed and clean. This is the perfect place to go if you just want to unplug and take time for yourself. If you like nature, the drive anywhere around this area is wooded and gorgeous. The host was extremely responsive, and we had no issues with the trip. We brought food to cook so I can't comment too much on the local eateries. It was so quiet, and sipping coffee on the back porch was a perfect start to any day. The WIFI was surprisingly good here, so we had a lot of movies to choose from in the evening. There is a grocery store in town if you need anything too. If you truly want to get away, don't hesitate to book this home. We took our two dogs and honestly, the house was so clean you would never even know they allow pets! We really hope to be able to repeat this trip in the future."

"Beautiful home and property, lots of amenities in the house. The big video game wasn’t working which was disappointing, but the other features like the fire pit, large tv, and comfy couches made up for it. We would definitely stay again!"

"My husband and I took our family....four children, spouses and 10 grandchildren. It was amazing. Plenty of room for everyone, very clean, fully stocked and plenty to do. I would recommend Big Bear Lodge to anyone and everyone. (The hot tub and fire pit area were a big hit )"

"The cabin and location was quiet and surrounded by tall trees that provide lots of shade. The screen porch is wonderful and you are close to the AuSable river and town of Mio. The parking is tight depending on the size vehicle you have."

"Pat was very attentive to messages and we loved staying in her rental. With 2 adults & 2 elementary aged children, there was more than enough room. Having 2 full bathrooms was awesome. The home is simple but Very cozy, comfortable beds, plenty of household necessities. We enjoyed having our meals in the cute breakfast nook. We thoroughly enjoyed paddle boating down to the swimming hole and fishing as well. Lots of different birds, squirrels, and geese(we came up from Florida to visit our son & family so I was pretty excited about all the different wild life) which was awesome to see as we had our coffee on the back porch every morning and also enjoyed beautiful sunsets. Freddie’s grocery & gas & dollar store are right down the road which was very convenient. There is also a fantastic coffee shop and sports bar/restaurant in town as well. Our son took us to a state park about 40 min from here that had some beautiful waterfalls. We also visited some Amish stores which are about 30 min away and also took the kids go carting and putput golfing. Then found a restaurant near by with a beautiful lake view where we enjoyed lunch on the back deck. Absolutely love the slow pace here in Atlanta and everyone is so friendly. Thank you again Pat for your hospitality."
