Hotel ILUNION Hacienda de Mijas

"Great view from the property. We liked the place overall. They have onsite parking for a fee or you can park on the street which is not busy since this hotel has a rural location. The only annoying thing we found was that the pool "closes" at a certain time (7 pm comes to mind) and they literally put up a fince around it to keep everyone out. In the morning the pool is not available until almost noon. The town of Mijas seems like a total tourist trap but has some decent food if you can find the place! The town is built into a hill and the streets are steep and winding. Free parking is limited but there is a garage if all else fails."

"We had a licensed service dog and it took 40 minutes of arguing and waiting on phone calls before we were allowed to check in. Hotel is located a 200 meter walk of which one half is uphill to get to a parking garage elevator that will take you up 10 floors to walk out on the plaza. Secret Garden restaurant is a must and the Indian restaurant upstairs at the main plaza has the best prawns that I've ever had. We got safe street parking for our high top van right in front of the hotel. The room was large 2 bedrooms with a foldout sofa. Breakfast was very good with a huge English Breakfast which was reasonably priced. For a first trip Mijas served the purpose. Next time I will try the ocean stay."

"Sea to Sky Suites was lovely and Thomas was very accommodating & communicative. There was a couple of hours delay receiving our check in codes, which did caused inconvenience and uncertainty, but this was rectified and a complimentary drink was made available. On a constructive note (in other words, if I were the owner what I would like feedback on) the radiator on the wall was lose and needs securing, the shower temperature control was extremely difficult to turn and possibly I could not have managed this had I been on my own. Lastly, the dispensers in the shower were empty however replaced with stand alone items. All that said, we would absolutely stay again, love the convenience and of course above all Mijas Pueblo, Thanks again Thomas."

"Toilet issue early in morning...apparently the hotel has to undergo cleaning of septic line by pumping air into sewage lines that regurgitate into every bathroom in hotel...not what I would call a smart thing to do at 9am...noisy messy and crazy!"

"Our third time at this hotel- we love it! Beautiful hotel with great friendly atmosphere. Staff are smiley and go out of their way to help. Rooms are a bit dated but peaceful and more than adequate. Swimming pool is super as are the sun beds with a view to behold. We will be back! X"

"Very large property and the pool area is family friendly/safeAccess to the villa is via a fully paved road (not always the case in this region) and as such was very straight forward to findAir con in just about every room which I suspect would be a godsend in July/AugustVery cheap taxis to and from the centre of mijas. You are just far enough out to avoid the noise but close enough to get there in a few minutes Superb hosting by Grant who was contactable the whole time via WhatsApp"
