A magical place!
Enjoyed each morning with coffee on the patio looking at the beautiful desert view. After a day of golf or hiking, We loved coming back to the same patio to play cards and watch the sunset. Yvonne and Billie were great hosts.

Lovely location - very quiet and peaceful surroundings, yet close to golf, hiking, art expo, Carefree and West World. Very friendly and accommodating hosts; roomy, well appointed unit with full kitchen and washer/dryer. Outdoor patio/pool area is first class!

A Pinnacle Peak escape
A perfect hideaway for the solo traveller. Spotlessly clean, super-comfortable casita with access to a fantastic pool. Glorious views of Pinnacle Peak sunsets. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful and I’ve already booked a return stay.

Amazing views
We booked this place on a whim one night and I can’t tell you how many times I was thankful for that choice during our stay. It was absolutely perfect in location, and the scenery was breathtaking. Everything was incredibly clean and so much thought went into the details to bring the comforts of home to your stay. Check in and out was easy and both Yvonne and Billy were gracious hosts who gave great tips on places to hike and restaurants to visit. This was the perfect little romantic getaway, we cannot wait to visit again.

Beautiful desert casita and pool!
The place is lovely. The infinity pool overlooking the open desert is incredible! We enjoyed watching the tortoises eat their breakfast. Really a wonderful desert getaway, away from the crowds.

Pool House in North Scottsdale
This was a unique and wonderful property, with very welcoming and friendly hosts! There was tons of space around the property to use, including some unique pets that we enjoyed seeing. The pool house was very well stocked with everything guests might need. Our only cautions for future guests are that the pool water was unexpectedly quite cold, although very refreshing (and a beautiful pool), and the pool house itself could be a bit musty when the A/C wasn't running. But overall, a very enjoyable stay in a great location!

Welcoming Desert Getaway
This desert location was perfect for our Scottsdale getaway! It was close to everything we wanted to explore but remote enough to feel the peace and quiet and enjoy the beautiful stars in the sky at night. The casita is spacious and well equipped and has tons of character. Yvonne and billy are very welcoming and available when you need them. We would definitely return to this great spot in North Scottsdale!

Repeat Performance by the Kilpatrick's!
We stayed in this 1-bedroom casita in 2019 for approximately the time period (February March). Once again, everything was perfect from day one until we left for Sedona. This one bedroom one bathroom apartment is just the right size for our 2 1/2 week stay. Great accomodations as far as comfortable furniture, plenty of kitchen items for daily cooking, access to grill, use of washer and dryer, and outdoor living. We hike on our trips; so access to Pinnacle Peak and trailheads off Dynamite Road are a big plus. Horseback riding is very close to the casita, as well. Local area offers a good selection of restaurants, shopping and services (local Farmers Market on Saturday's is great). Inside the casita complex, access to a local trail and sitting shelter plus walking around the neighborhood is great. The Kilpatrick's give you complete privacy during your stay. If you need help or direction with anything, the owners are there to help you. The area is absolutely beautiful as well at night - lots of star gazing! A great place to stay and enjoy while in North Scottsdale!

Three weeks in North Scottsdale
A beautiful property. Our dog loved it. Great, spread-out neighborhood, mountains and desert. An unexpected treat: there's a wonderful dog park a half mile away--huge, with friendly dogs, friendly people. The one negative: it wasn't all that warm in North Scottsdale, about 7-8 degrees cooler than Old Town. Maybe twice in three weeks, it reached 70 degrees. A cold winter, everybody says. Otherwise, a perfect stay, good people.

Loved our stay here!
This location was a perfect fit for our holiday. There were lots of hiking trails around us, and we hiked every day. Plus, it’s easy to get to shopping and restaurants in the area. The pool house was very comfortable and spacious and we quickly felt right at home. Kitchen had all the equipment you might need for making meals. And having a washer and dryer was very convenient for us, so we were able to pack light. Yvonne and Billy were quick to address all our needs and questions and we appreciated their gracious hospitality during our 2 week stay. We would love to come back next year but they’re already booked in the timeframe we needed!

A must stay place in Arizona!
Great place and hosts are VERY nice. Hanging out on the huge patio with a great relaxing view was a highlight. It was like our very own resort. Too cold to use pool - but hot tube was great. Close to hike paths and exploring in Scottsdale. Planning to come back as soon as we can make the time!

A desert getaway
A unique and beautiful unit, as described, with lovely desert surroundings and amenities to enjoy. Your hosts are lovely folks who are happy to chat with you and tell you about the area or respect your privacy - whatever you prefer. The hot tub in the desert evening is wonderful. Shower water pressure very average and it took 5 minutes to get warm water not hot water. However, the property sat on 5 acres, setting gorgeous, beautiful views, huge 2 tiered patio and was very comfortable

This property was not easy to find as there is no address out on the road by the gate. The dirt road up to the back where the room is located is not lit. The place smelled like Lysol which gave me a headache. The floors could have been cleaner. The bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and fridge was clean. Lots of space. Night light in the bathroom would be nice. I didn't use the pool after the dog went in when I first got there. When I called to be let in the first night, I had to call both of them and Yvonne's VM was full so couldn't leave a message. Left a message for Billy and he called right back. They were not there at all on the last night.

Amazing! I just mopped the floor with Pinesol before she came and my house is very clean. Jane did not rent a car and was dependent on her real estate agent to take her to the grocery store,etc. I offered to make her breakfast since she had no groceries and needed to go to the store. I provide a beautiful place to stay and am not responsible for babysitting my guests. You can’t please everyone no matter how hard you try! If you don’t like dogs, don’t book my listing!

Absolutely breathtaking
Yvonne was so very warm and welcoming that I felt as though I was instantly chatting up a friend! She saw to every detail and went above and beyond to be sure I could navigate and take full advantage of the beautiful accommodations. The casita is even more beautiful than the photos with a great eye for detail and finishing touches that create a warm, interesting, and inviting atmosphere. The view by the pool was spectacular with the mountains and wildlife and the sunset is breathtaking with a cold drink next to the pool. You can see the stars forever! Yvonne was a perfect hostess and her warmth was balanced with discretion and absolute privacy. What a beautiful oasis with breathtaking views, charming and luxurious accommodations and quiet privacy to enjoy it all. I was looking for a get away to recharge and left feeling rejuvenated and peaceful. I absolutely recommend and will stay again. Next time I might take Yvonne and Billy up on sharing a cold beer and a longer visit! Book this one, you'll be happy that you did!

Perfect Scottsdale Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay! The property was stunning and we loved sitting by the pool, enjoying the hot tub, and having a fire in the fire pit. The North Scottsdale location was perfect; close to many trailheads, peaceful and quiet, and close enough to restaurants and stores. We had some questions during our stay and the hosts were responsive, helpful, and so nice. The description and pictures of the property were completely accurate. The only thing we wish we had was more time to spend at this beautiful place. We hope to be back again one day soon.

VRBO says that all security cameras cannot be allowed on the property. There were three hard wired security devices in the home. The Security device was ADEMCO N8743-3. One device was located in the living room One located in the kitchen area pointed towards the bathroom area and shower area. The other was located behind the door in the bedroom that could not be shut due to the bed being to large for the room. The cushions were torn on the patio , pool was dirty, landscaping not kept up and the furniture in the house had dog hair / scratches on it. Just not what the pictures looked like. Nice people

No security cameras! Orbi WiFi extender in casita provides high-speed internet. We have COX Giga-blast WiFi now!!! We have a nest thermostat! This review is NOT consistent with any of our other reviews!

My boyfriend and I booked Yvonne’s guest house for a little get away. We were in love the minute we walked up and saw the beauty surrounding us. The setting is breathtaking! The home was just as it had been pictured and was so comfortable. Beautiful kitchen that is fully stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed hiking the nearby trails and relaxing by the pool on sunny afternoons. Yvonne was an exceptional host. She responded to all my questions quickly and was helpful in planning out hiking trips and restaurant selections. We would come back here in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

Our house sits on a hilltop with spectacular 360 degree views of surrounding mountain ranges. There are five steps down to the pool area which sits on a different level from the main home and casita and makes for a very private and scenic setting..

Covid spoiled our plans
Ratings are not based on staying there. Was planning on staying here in March but had to cancel our flight because of Covid restrictions that did not allow us to fly. I Understand these are hard times but was disappointed that we were not able to get a refund or even a partial refund from the get go. Am sure it was a nice place although I never got to see it but paid full fare for 3 nights. The owners seem quite nice. But be careful booking during these unsure Covid times as plans can change and you cannot get a refund.

We have a strict cancellation policy and Cynthia cancelled at the last minute. We offered her to rebook her stay for another time frame and she made this October reservation. Then she was a no call ,no show. I offered her the courtesy to rebook and come again free of charge which I would still honor. I couldn’t cancel her stay on my end because it would hurt my business with VRBO, I asked her to cancel her stay so I could open up my calendar. She couldn’t figure out how to cancel and I couldn’t open up my calendar. I am really surprised she would leave a bad review under the circumstances. I don’t know what else I could do to be fair to her?
