Jungle in the city
Stay was pleasant. The large privacy screen around pool from adjoining property was annoying but not the fault of the hotel. Unfortunately this screen wrapped around some other parts of the hotel too....so 117 & 118 two bed suites essentially have all natural light blocked out, as this solid privacy screen is about 12 inches from the hotel exterior. They do have two other 2 bed suites without this issue. For our 4 night stay we were first allocated 118 and could only be moved to another 2 bed suite (with natural light) the next day. The hotel should not allocate these light-less rooms unless they have specifically sold them as 'no window' rooms, which is pretty much what they are. That said, the rooms were well furnished in a funky way. If you don't mind not having any natural light, 117 or 118 two bed suites are great. But for the price, you'd expect to have natural light in these suite rooms....or reduce the price! Pool area and menu good. Interesting and varied teas available. Breakfast ok with usual buffet style of mixed bagatelle. Night porter had some interesting questions for my Khmer wife when we came back late from a night out. He caught on pretty quick and apologised. Would probably stay here again if could guarantee what room we'd be getting for sure. Staff brilliant, friendly, helpful and efficient.

Teahouse
We stayed at the Teahouse a couple nights. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and clean. There were a lot of options at the buffet breakfast but the coffee was quite bad. The staff are helpful in booking tours and making calls for the guests.

Pool is fantastic with great food and drink service. Staff is extraordinarily nice and helpful, breakfast is delicious. Rooms were always clean and had nice robes and basket to take down to pool. Would definitely recommend to stay here! Spa services could be better, but not terrible.

The rooms, although not ostentatious, catered to all our needs, which, accompanied by the excellent service, made it an excellent stay. The small touches, such as the complimentary local tea varieties, tea set, and the lotus blossom in the bathroom just served to make the experience even more memorable.

We got the suite room (with 2BR and 2 toilets). It's ok but the rooms are a bit dated including the keys used (no room cards). Breakfast is a thumbs up with good enough choices. Service crew are really good esp their communication skills compared to other hotels in PP. Price is affordable. Location is really central, very near Independence Monument (walkable). Massage is ok (taken inside a spa room). Overall, a cozy place with a garden in the middle of a busy city.

A forgettable stay
There were mosquitoes in the room & I was bitten on the 1st night. The lighting in the room is poor. They sprayed insecticide in the room after I complained about the numerous bites that I had. The hotel does not provide toiletries and they did not have a shower cap when I requested for it. Amenities in the room are very basic. The pickup from the hotel was frustrating. The hotel charges for airport transfer and for 4 paxs, it sent a SUV whose bootspace is inadequate to take 3 pieces of luggage. We spent time trying to communicate with the driver. Only nearly 1hr did we depart from the airport for the hotel. Compared to my exprerience in Siem Reap, the hotel provides complementary airport transfer, they had dispatched a mini van for the pickup. My experience with Teahouse's service standard pales in comparison.

The entrance of the Hotel is small, but opens up to an oasis. The teahouse decorations are good for photo taking and simply sitting around. However, mosquito repellent is a must since there are many mosquitoes around.

An oasis in Phnom Penh
A delightful Phnom Penh boutique hotel - well located near independence monument and a quick walk/tuk tuk to the water. While the rest of the city was having rolling blackouts, we never lost power as far as I can tell. A nice pool/cafe and menu. Good breakfast and reliable wifi. Great staff.

The grounds of the hotel are a real treat. When I visited in late February, there were lotus flowers all over the hotel. The ground floor is very attractive with great areas to relax. Each floor has a small common area and balcony with the first floor overlooking the garden as well. Some rooms on the first floor look out to another building and have no view, my 2nd floor room was fine with a nice sunrise view. Breakfast has a good selection of foods. The main issue I had with my stay is that the staff were very unclear that the complimentary river cruise is first-come first-served. I was told I could reserve at check-in. At check-in I was told I can just book in the morning. And in the morning I was told there were no more spots. We had to find another company for the river cruise, which was one of the main deciding factors for choosing TeaHouse.

This is the second time i have stayed at this hotel and went there because it has a great open spaces for relaxing. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is good. My only disappointment was the quality of the massages which unlike my first visit, were very poor!

Very nice buffet breakfast with a omelet bar, great location close to major attractions which were all within walking distance. Staff all eager to help with your every need. Intimate lobby setting for hanging out, restaurant has great food, reasonable prices.

Lovely quaint hotel with lots of lovely interior desugn features. Good size rooms breakfast options were reasonable. Nice pool area and small gym added to the features. A little out of the way from the main restaurants and bars but nothing serious. Our favorite hotel of our 6 week Asia trip. Would definitely love to stay agsin. Staff were friendly and helpful

As soon as you get in the open air lobby area, there is this relaxing atmosphere. The decor is really beautiful, lots of attention to details. Food was good, there is a spa and you can get a foot massage by the pool. An oasis in the middle of bustling Phnom Penh.

I didn’t stay there because they were overbooked. They took me to another hotel which is fabulous. The people at the hotel were so apologetic. They bent over backwards to correct Hotels.com mistake. They took me to Penh House & Jungle Addition Hotel and Spa. I give it 10/10.

The Teahouse Hotel is within city central so there are plenty of food choices & other hotels to wander into. Tuk tuks are plentiful & you can go anywhere for a few bucks. The property is cute with its teahouse theme. However, some time has lapsed since the photos on the website & it’s starting to look a bit worn at this stage. The rooms are tiny. It’s exactly what you would expect in a city central hotel. It’s okay for a few days stay, but it’ll get claustrophobic after more than 3 days. And in my room, it seems the mattress had been used by a pair of heavyset people. I found the mattress incredibly uncomfortable, sinking into their indented shapes on the bed. The breakfast is included & the coffee is good. The staff is on the inexperienced side, but they make an effort to be helpful. The cleaning crew are spot on. Filtered drinking water is free for the asking. I booked it because I was planning a short visit & wanted something inexpensive, simple & to the point. That’s exactly what I got. In hindsight, I think I could have upgraded to the Aquarius Hotel & been much happier.

A little peace of tranquillity in a mad city
Lovely hotel, everything you need to relax in a city which never sleeps and is mad, I've never seen driving like it, tuc tuc, motorbikes, buses, posh cars all trying to negotiate the unmarked roads, trust me, you need to be able to relax after a day in Phnom Penh in a hotel like this.
