And I normally say 5\* but never take your wife or girlfriend. They will run screaming. Last time was poor. Some bug in the bed bit me and I slapped it and blood went everywhere. Let’s hope it was my blood and that it had never eaten anyone else. I don’t especially blame the hotel. It’s the tropics. And the alternative is a cancer inducing pesticide. On the last day I turned up for breakfast at 09:45. Lights off. Everything cleared. She told me they closed at 10am. Yes you read that correctly. Very rude she was too. Strange. I know all the staff and most are great. And both the double locks on my room door were broken. My wife would have freaked. No she would have walked. I put a chair against the door. It’s cheap I’m every sense. And one day no shampoo was left for me in the bathroom. The friendly night porter fixed that by taking from an empty room. I will go back as it’s close to my friends’ house.
