While staff is nice and helpful and I was credited for with amenities. The first night they didn’t have a room for me. Secondly the wifi connection was very very slow and not consistent. The old manager Manny ran a great hotel but he is no longer there so this must be the problem. They need find a qualified manager to run the hotel.

The overall staff is very courteous and they take an extra step to meet the customers demands and issues. A/c work needs to be updated else excellent stay worth the money spent.

We stayed 5 nights in January. Extraordinarily kind staff with an over-the-top breakfast (order one of everything if you want) and nice room. The suite included an outdoor balcony which we didn't use. Rooms and Public spaces had strong smells of diffuser aromas (like Lemngrass and others). The shower did not drain properly because we saw they never picked up the hair in the drain from the previous guests (so I did) and in our 5 day visit the hair just continued to accumulate until I did something about it. This caused the RainHead shower not to be usable because it flooded the floor. Bed comfortable and nearby Bassac Lane (expat, touristy area) is very convenient because most of the restaurant bars there were good.

It is a 5 star service
I'm regular to Phonom Phen, I have to say out of 23 visits, this is the best. Done the naga world and all that, if you want a personal touch, high quality and great location then you can't go wrong here to be honest.

A quiet oasis and home away from home
Very nice boutique hotel with friendly personal service, set on a quiet lane but very close (walking distance) to palace, silver pagoda, national monument, etc. The staff was really great, so friendly and eager to help. The Hotel Manager, Many Young, greeted us personally and escorted us to our room. The room (Junior Suite) was spacious and clean with large bathroom, walk-in shower and tub, full amenities. The beds were large, comfortable and the room was completely quiet. The hotel food was delicious. The head chef was clearly well-trained and experienced in Western food preparation. We very much enjoyed our two dinners and breakfasts. Cambodian dancing show at dinner time was an added plus. Overall, we were quite happy with our stay and would certainly consider to stay there again.

Great boutique hotel with awesome customer service
Extra comfortable beds, spacious room, huge bathroom with rain shower, free mini bar, free khmer massage, incredibly polite and accommodating staff, free in-room breakfast, great and inexpensive restaurant, elevator. Before we arrived, we communicated through email, and the staff arranged airport pickup and drop off for us for a small fee, as well as for a guide & driver during our trip. Everything went perfectly. We were SO pleased with our room. It was full of everything that makes you feel like you are at home. It had a little balcony with chairs and a table (it was too hot to sit out there, though). The room was a quiet oasis in the busy city. Room service was included for breakfast, which was delicious (or you could eat in the restaurant). The free massage was, hands-down, the absolute best massage I have ever had in my life & really made the stay heavenly. The staff did everything to make us happy during our stay. If I am ever in Phnom Penh again, I will absolutely stay here again.

Very friendly staff especially Mr Many, the manager. Stayed 3 nights. First night at the old block was not ideal - the air-conditioning was insufficient and also construction noise next door. Transfer to new block was much better. The free Khmer massage was relaxing and free flow of drinks (including beer) from fridge was generous. Wifi was strong and breakfast had options of western and Asian - simple but sufficient. Location to attractions was not exactly near and it can be challenging to cross the streets.

Worth every penny
I knew I was going to love this hotel the first 5 minutes I arrived. After being gouged, constantly solicited, or hovered over in some way at every hotel prior on our 3 week trip, we had similar expectations. La Rose is different, however, so when the speech came from the introductory manager welcoming us to our hotel and introducing us the amenities I left ready to SIIINGGGG. - free mini bar. everything in the fridge - free 1 hour khamer massage - free breakfast Say what?! And they were all amazing. The beds were very comfortable and provide 4 pillows, the shower has great water pressure, the location is wonderful, the staff is on point, the robes were my favorite yet, the air conditioning is stellar (can be made very cold. some hotels put a limit at some mediocre degree at the cusp of comfortable).

Definite room for improvement in terms of service.
The property is nice enough and located in a pretty central area. Rooms are large and well equipped with all the usual amenities to be expected. However, we experienced poor quality sleep as the space seemed to amplify noise. We were on a level 2 room and could hear people talking loudly, doors closing and all kinds of ambient noise through the day and night. Service was ok but lacked the touches that we experienced in other hotels (like staff offering to call you a tuk tuk, helping with directions etc.). Also note that the pool is tiny and not very private as it's located right by the entrance walkway. There is no gym at this facility.

Accessible and Convenient but Overrated
Nice Boutique Hotel in central Phnom Penh area, walking distance and accessible to various eateries; great location. Hotel staff were very kind, greeting us every moment when eye contact was made. General manager was always around, to ensure any questions or concerns were dealt with. Room was fairly clean, but not necessarily to our expectations. Moldy areas found in the sink, which was not pleasant, and a brown stain found inside the comforter. This showed lack of attention to detail. The TV was also small, and placed in an odd area, so we could not even watch from the bed nor the lounge chairs. Hair dryer cord was so short, my wife had to stand near the wall plug, so eventually she gave up as the setup was too inconvenient. The staff were also inconsistent in turning over our room in the evening. Half the days the rooms were done, and the other days the rooms were not. The inconsistency of this service was questionable. Nonetheless, the shower was nice, slept well as the bed was comfortable, and minibar (drinks only) were free. The walls were also quite thin, such that you can hear the neighbours showering and using the toilets. One of the mornings, we woke up to a guy hawking out his phlegm. It was quite unpleasant to wake up to. For breakfast, we were given a checklist, but they rarely followed it. Hence, they often got our order wrong. For example, my wife asked for 11-minute boiled eggs, but the yolk was still not fully cooked. We checked off the homemade papaya ja

Great hotel
We stayed here for our honeymoon. They decorated the room and gave complimentary massages. The manager welcomed us which was very nice! Staff are very helpful especially with organizing tours and making sure the tuk tuk drivers look after us. There is a vast selection of massages at reasonable prices. The only underwhelming aspect was the food. It was quite basic. We were hoping to be wowed by the Cambodian cuisines which unfortunately didnt happen. Otherwise we would highly recommend this hotel!

The reviews are right, this place is great!
The service hear is amazing! we had an issue with our booking at the Suites and they put us up at the other hotel. The style is the same but is on the main road without a pool. They offered us free shuttles back and forth to the pool which was nice and free massages. Can't complain about that! I do the think the western breakfast could be improved and also a nicer court yard for eating outside at the hotel similar to the suites. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Exquisite. An oasis in the middle of Phnom Penh craziness. Greeted by name each time we returned from an explore while handled a frosty, refreshing towel to wipe our sweaty brow. The GM, Mr. Young is a stickler for detail and made a point to greet us and to answer questions and provide information. The restaurant is very nice and spa services are top notch. Rooms ar spacious and feature top shelf bedding and mattresses. It is a terrific value - highly recommend

Hotel is well located , walkable distance to Royal Palace. Hotel staffs were very nice and the manager greeted us when we arrived and left the hotel :) The complimentary spa was nice and relaxing. A lot of good restaurants nearby. Recommend to stay for a relaxing time in Phnom Penh.

Perfect location, walking distance to Royal Palace, Independent Monument, Shopping Mall (but taking a tuk-tuk will only be around 2-4$ as well) The friendliest, most helpful staff we ever experienced. There is always someone to great you or open a door for you. We loved the traditional music and dance in the restaurant, the complementary massage was excellent and very refreshing. We loved our eggs for breakfast. The pool was great at the end of the day (you have to watch out for the mosquitoes) The room was nicely decorated, the best part was the bathroom. We only had one comment that the noise from the lobby, foyer come through the door (there is a little gap around the door). Our overall experience is 100% satisfaction.

The first room we were placed in at this hotel was up three flights of stairs, this was very inconvenient for my friend and myself, fortunately a room on the ground floor became available the next day. The staff were excellent and moved us without any problem at all. The staff were excellent from the minute we arrived to the early hours of the morning when we left, we could not fault them.

Phnom Penh best in class
Everything about this hotel was excellent - the room was spacious, clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfy. They provided the airport pick up for a very reasonable fee. The room comes with an included massage (for the first day I believe) and delicious breakfast - the fried rice was best! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is perfect - a $3 tuk tuk ride to pretty much anywhere in town and walking distance to the chic Bassac Lane area with lots of great bars and restaurants.

Stayed with my family - good hotel though thought that was a tad expensive. Ate a couple of times at the restaurant as the options for a vegetarian in Phnom Pehn are rather limited. Staff are exceptionally friendly. Incidentally there is a good vegetarian restaurant across the Independence Park whiic is good. Beware of chain snatchers as almost got my throat slit by a chain snatcher whilst sitting in a tuk-tuk

Pleasant but you pay for it.
Plus points:Tastefully furnished. Sizeable room and bathroom. The hotel claims to partner with a French NGO to help underprivileged children. Staff are hospitable and eager to please. I sent the front desk a document to print and left the hotel. When they could not open the file, they had the presence of mind to email me immediately. Breakfast can be served in the room. Generous with bottled water. Decent restaurants nearby. The minuses: Bed linen did not smell fresh. Noise from the corridors, people walking about, doors banging, kept me awake on the first night. Floor felt a little grimy. Housekeeping took the liberty to rearrange my things, moving them to different countertops, in their zeal to neaten the room perhaps? Be prepared to climb stairs-- no lift.

I was in Phnom Penh for work and stayed at the hotel for a bit more than a week. Everything about this hotel was fantastic! The staff was extremely nice and friendly, the food at the restaurant was great and very reasonably priced, the service was excellent, and it was conveniently located. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay. Room included a free Khmer massage which was lovely, and the spa overall was wonderful. Excellent location, friendly and accommodating staff, clean and new facilities. The only recommendation is to improve the breakfast, which was included. Compared to other included breakfasts at other hotels in Cambodia, this was not as good: the selection was good, but the quality not as high. We would have preferred to go out for breakfast. Coffee was great though!

Excellent hotel in Phnom Penh, especially made to order breakfast, whenever, seriously can breakfast in the restaurant any time of day until 10pm. Great idea! Staff is extremely helpful with whatever you need. Rooms were very nice, but a tad bit 'stale' until the AC kicked in. As in most of Cambodia, lots of lemon oil, lol
