Ettalong Beach Tourist Resort

"We really enjoyed our stay at Ettalong Beach Tourist Resort. The resort is beautiful, with a lovely design and atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable and a good size for three people. We especially loved the balcony, which made the room feel very pleasant, and the air conditioning worked very well. One disappointment was the lack of a general lift. The only lift seemed to be for guests with accessibility needs. I completely understand the need for an accessible lift, but having at least one lift for general guests would be helpful, especially for people arriving with luggage. The pool was also extremely cold and basically unusable. We had been warned it was cold, but it was much colder than expected, and several children were visibly shivering. The spa was not working either and was also very cold. Interestingly, the ocean was much warmer that same day. We loved the Galleria downstairs. There is a great variety of restaurants, cafés and interesting shops, and we spent most of a rainy day there without getting bored. However, many shops closed around 2–3 pm. We were also very surprised that on Monday morning absolutely everything in the Galleria was closed, including restaurants, cafés, the bakery, ice cream shop and shops. Reception told us most venues close during weekdays and mainly open on weekends. This wasn’t clear on the website and would be important information for guests, especially families visiting during school holidays. We also really enjoyed the cinema,"

"This is great value short term accommodation for singles or couples. The unit is located in a converted shop/store; with just a short walk to Palm Beach Ferry Wharf and the water's edge. There is a nice coffee shop about a block up the road. The bed is super comfy!! All linen was provided and fresh and clean.Our host, Irmgard was absolutely lovely, and accommodating to our needs. I would have no hesitation staying at Irmgard's place again."

"We loved our stay here. The location is really convenient, close to Umina Beach and the shops, and the yard was perfect for our two little chihuahua crosses.Kelly was great about letting me know beforehand that we might need some extra fencing for such small dogs. Our tiniest is only 2 kg and could get her head under the carport gate, but we travel with portable fencing anyway, so it wasn’t a problem.The cabin is quite compact. There were two of us and, once my husband had set up his computing equipment on the table, there wasn’t a lot of room left for eating meals. I think it would be lovely for one or two people, although it could feel a bit cramped with more people or a few rainy days indoors.The table chairs are quite deep with low backs, which my husband found difficult with his bad back, while the coffee table felt too low to use comfortably from the day bed without sitting on the floor. We really appreciated the yoga bolsters for propping him up. A second straight-backed chair would be a useful addition, both at the table and for clothes or bags in the bedroom.One other thing to be aware of with mobility issues is the shower over the bath. I found the step out quite deep and felt a little unsteady.We’d happily stay here again, especially for a short visit with dogs."

The location was perfect—quiet, private, and nicely tucked away from the crowds, yet still close enough to enjoy short, relaxing walks to the beach.The property itself was clean and tidy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway."

"What an amazing little place and the perfect location for short or long stays. We loved the beachy feel the place had and with only a very short 4min walk to the beach. Being able to take our little toy poodle with us and go for walks along the beach meant the world to us and we will certainly book this property again. The owner is super responsive and great to deal with.Highly recommend this place!"
