We found this to be a lovely hotel and the Prinzlauer district and a good base for exploring Berlin. The room was luxurious and very comfortable. The included breakfast is excellent, although the wait staff were somewhat unfriendly. The staff at the front desk, however were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is 2 stops on the M2 tram from Alexanderplatz.

This is an excellent hotel. The rooms, staff and amenities are all First Rate. And the view from our room overlooking the Zoo was unbelievable. Who wakes up with Kangaroos running around just outside their window?
Our only caution is it is a bit remote, far from public transit and walking through the pitch black Tiergarten at night is not an option.

"I have been staying at the Esplanade for many years but I cannot accept that if I want a cleaned room daily i need to pay an extra 15 euro!! Isn't this what I am already paying the hotel for in the daily rate. On top of this, this charge to park in THEIR OWN PARKING LOT!! I am rethinking for another ..."
