"This building is old, BUT they did a good job of remodeling it to this new Spark by Hilton brand. Sometimes when hotel properties change ownership and get remodeled, you still see old tile in part of the bathroom or bad remodel jobs that you can see at the edges and corners of rooms or with the flooring, etc. Many remodels are only half-done. You can also often still smell the old hotel. However, this one was re-done nicely with EVERYTHING all new in the rooms, and most other parts of the property. This is the way remodels SHOULD be done. It still has low ceilings and narrow hallways like older buildings do, but it was still done as nice as you can do with an older building. Breakfast was pretty decent considering the level of hotel this is. My only main complaint is that the room doors have the automatic doors that SLAM hard and loud. Too many guests don't have consideration of others at 5am or 11pm and just let the doors SLAM LOUDLY. It even shakes your room and windows and you can NOT help but wake up from it. It's not really the hotel's fault completely, but they COULD change the doors."
