It was a great place for a family gathering. We took advantage of kayaks, cornhole, and pool table. Everything was clean, grass mowed, and fire pit ready to go. "So close to the mountain, which is exactly what we needed for our family snowboard trip. The pictures don’t do the place justice. It was spacious and comfortable. Only downside, closest grocery stores are 20ish minutes away so we survived on Dollar General and it worked out perfectly! Highly recommend you stay and experience all that Winterplace has to offer."

"We had the whole family here. My wife and I, our three daughters and grandkids for a total of 9 of us. This place was perfect for us. Plenty of rooms for all, and the large kitchen gave us lots of room for all to gather at meal time without tripping over each other. We loved the large yard where the kids could run off their energy and the large deck was a real joy. When we had a question we got answers almost immediately. That was a real bonus. "Mr. Hunter's cottage is a lovely cottage from a by-gone era. Located in the mountains of Giles county, VA, this cottage is comfortable with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The cottage is furnished with pieces that could have been there when it was built. The cottage has a beautiful porch, a great place for morning coffee. There is a very nice restaurant just steps from the cottage. I advise having at least one meal there, make sure you have reservations, as it can get quite busy. The restaurant was...

"This was our 4th stay. We love the location - so close to many hiking trails and Va Tech. It is quiet and peaceful; it has beautiful views of the mountains, and it has a wonderful, fenced area for the dogs - and it even has a doggy door that our dogs learned to use. The house has everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. When we were not out exploring, we spent our time in the sunroom. We hope to visit again next year!"

"Great place to stay for our large family visiting Blacksburg for graduation! Only 10 minutes to the center of campus. Super spacious, large property and yard, and plenty of space for parking. Very clean inside the house but could use some TLC outside the property. Nonetheless, we had a great stay!"
