"Me and my husband stayed therefrom 19th to 20th. The staff who checked in was a lady. The way she treated us was not appropriate. I already booked by the application and she ask for my card details, which includes everything from complete card number, expiry date and CVV. She said she want to confirm that the same person is checked in. I told her thats why i gave the ID and she already photocopied it. Still she asked for my card details and said if I dont provide it she cant give us the booked room. I felt like why? She said everyone gave card details and she showed us others card details also in a white paper. I felt it’s completely illegal that its not safe to show others there card details . She said its their rule. We said to show the rule . She didnt say anything about that. At last i gave last four digits of my card details to get the room. She said, the security will also check something like that which i dont understand. The way she speaks feel completely disrespectful. She said no smoking in room. I said we both dont smoke. Then she said everyone says like that but end up in smoking in room. I dont feel its not an appropriate customer service they Provided. Except her everyone was so good.good service."

"Reception was lovely, friendly and informative. All was good but far stairwell was very smelly and filthy carpets."

"Room had a bad smell. I believe the carpet needs a shampoo wash along with the curtains... This may help get rid of the bad odor smell. I did not include breakfast as I personally do not eat much for breakfast and wasn't keen to pay that much money for a "bowl of cereal"."

"Really clean and smart modern Hotel. On-site parking is really convenient however the park-and-ride is a short walk away and cheap cheaper. I’d also recommend using the park-and-ride to get in and out of Cambridge rather than the slower local buses."

"Lovely old historic Inn. Rooms traditionally furnished and had some nice welcoming touches. Bar was very cozy. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast freshly cooked. No lift but staff kindly helped us to the top floor with our bags. Our daughter stayed in a ground floor garden room overlooking the beer garden which was also very nicely furnished. Menu looked great but we ate in the Indian restaurant directly opposite which was also excellent. Will stay here again when passing through."

"All staff we met were friendly and helpful, including spa staff. Room clean and spacious, not modern but traditional as would expect in older part of building. Shower hot, bathroom huge! Mattress not the best though. Think room would be cold in Winter due to period windows, single glazed and not air tight. Breakfast also traditional, nice to have tea and coffee served at table, fresh bread , hot food good, cereals limited and basic."
