The historic town of Market Deeping (4.5 miles) has attractions including the Market Deeping Antiques and Craft Centre and Deeping Lakes Nature Reserve. The picturesque village of Bourne and the historic market towns of Spalding and Stamford are all within 12 miles. Other local landmarks include Burghley House, the Gordon Boswell Romany Museum, and Grimsthorpe Castle Park and Gardens, all within 13 miles. Rutland Water Country Park is to the west (18 miles), a popular spot for water sports, fishing and nature watching. To the south, Peterborough (14 miles) is home to the medieval Peterborough Cathedral as well as the Crown Lakes Country Park, Flag Fen Archaeology Park and Kings Dyke Nature Reserve. Stepping outside, you’ll find a private garden area leading down to the lake’s edge.
