Petaluma is considered the gateway to the wine country and is a half hour to Point Reyes and the ocean. My home is walking distance to the beautiful historic downtown. Fiona was friendly and easy to get ahold of, talk to, and get help from. This place worked very well for our trip. We wanted to be near our favorite Petaluma restaurants and we enjoyed being able to walk to them. We were also close to all the activities we wanted to pursue. Not negative but less positive: Even though there is a high backyard fence that blocks the view in, I personally would prefer to be able to cover the back kitchen windows at night. This "cottage" is listed as an entire home. It is an aparment, not a stand alone cottage. The host/owner shares the front door and lives in an upstairs unit. In addition the back patio was not clean or set up to actually use. (note: it had not rained in many days). Also note, the neighborhood is not as it appears in the map. It's on a busy street. I'm in the process of dealing with VRBO for a full refund. Had I known the status, I would have booked somewhere else. ##### Christina C.
