Finally, a place where our dog can run free. Endless well mowed hills and fields. The two yurts and host house are far enough apart to feel like you're the only one for miles. We are used to camping, so didn't mind no running water... this was a major upgrade. No (verizon) wireless signal but it was great to get our teenagers off screens! Loved the SalemOpoly game one morning while it rained. We stayed 3 nights and used this as a base for Johnson Shutins and Elephant Rock. We will definitely be back some day. ##### trav g. I thought I’d really dislike the portopotty but it was relatively clean. Funny enough it was the only place I could get cell reception We brought our 10 year old and he was excited to roam the rolling hills and creek. Next time we’ll be back for a more romantic stay. The yurt was extremely clean and was very cute. We felt like we had the place to ourselves and the views are beautiful. The dogs enjoyed walking along the creek and it was nice that we were able to keep them off leash during our stay. I was worried about the shower house but it was also extremely clean and convenient. If you've used camping bathrooms in the past, this one is leaps and bounds better than any of those! Our firewood pile was stocked full and having water at the picnic table was handy for washing dishings. I recommend bringing a bucket to collect the water as well as a camping stove. Although there is a microwave in the yurt, the camping stove was helpful for cooking breakfast and other side dishes!
