Romantic A-frame Cabin with Private River and Scenic Views

Nordic Pine- A-frame Cabin. (STR#000364)
Escape into the mountains to this destination location where fresh alpine air and a scenic river await your arrival. Sittting below the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, along a wild and winding river, our A-frame cabins offer privacy on two acres with spectacular views. A secluded trail from your cabin leads down to the river where you will find our private beach. While your cabin is backyard to the Enchantments, we are only 15 minutes from Leavenworth and your pets stay free!

Want to see videos of our property, see what others have written in our guest book, or discover the excitement of Otter Rapids? Then find us on Instagram @ Alpineliving_

The Nordic Pine is built high on a 30 foot bluff and boasts one of the best views of the Peshastin Creek. Surrounded by lush overhanging branches and nestled amongst the thick trunks of Douglas Firs and Evergreens, this cabin is the ultimate escape away from reality. Thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows, the ever-changing scenery of wildlife, and colorful seasons can all be enjoyed from the comfort of your living room. This ski cabin was constructed in 1981 to stay warm during the coldest of winters and is one of the original cabins built in the area. The cabin’s rustic character has been carefully preserved, while striking a balance with modern upgrades and contemporary improvements.

SPRING AND SUMMER
The main attraction from your cabin will definitely be the river, which on most days is crystal clear and beautiful in color. REI river chairs are provided for the enjoyment of our private beach and property, as well as a complimentary river cooler to keep your drinks cold. In early spring you can watch rafters and kayakers fight rapids from the comfort of your deck. In late summer the river is perfect for floating/swimming (the water is a little cold, but very refreshing). A popular water activity is putting in at our famous Otter Rock and floating through otter rapids which eventually brings you back up to our beach to do all over again. This area of our property makes you feel like you have your own private water park! 💦 We also have several picnic tables around our property for enjoying cabin cooked meals while taking in views and sounds of the river.

WINTER
When winter arrives, the trail down to the river becomes our famous sledding hill, where you can bring your own sleds or use the complimentary ones we provide. We offer snowshoe rentals ($10) so you and your family can explore our property and the famous Ingall’s Creek Trail only minutes away. Never snowshoed before? That’s ok, you will find a snowhoeing book in your cabin for beginners to advanced and every rental comes with a free lesson. ❄️ Although our driveway is always plowed and well-groomed, vehicles with AWD are strongly recommended during the winter season.

LOCAL AMENITIES
We are one block from the neighborhood community playground that includes swings, slides, picnic tables, basketball court and baseball diamond. You will also have access to a spring-fed swimming pond during the summer months. As mentioned, we are five minutes from the famous Ingall's Creek Trail which is excellent for scenic hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and horseback riding. This trail is easy-moderate and follows the gentle roar of Ingall’s Creek along it’s entirety. At the trail's end you will find the breathtaking Lake Ingall's and the base of Mount Stuart, which is the second highest non-volcanic peak in the state.

Just a short drive from your cabin is 97 Rock House, which is a perfect spot to enjoy a variety of hand crafted coffee drinks (coffee beans are freshly roasted on-site and in small batches), local draft beer, hand-spun milk shakes, breakfast/lunch and they are also pet friendly. (Open 8-3pm weekdays and 8-5pm weekends). During the summer they have live performances and are available for wedding venues.

*NOTE* This cabin is perfectly designed to be small and cozy, but also have everything you need to both live and work comfortably. A majority of our guests are couples or families with children. This cabin can easily accommodate two couples, but it will be on the cozy side. Ladder-like stairs lead to the loft bedroom. Also, please note that access to the bathroom is through the downstairs bedroom, this is good to keep in mind for any nighttime restroom needs. If you are elderly or have any mobility issues these notes might be good to consider.

Looking to have a more private couples getaway with your friends or have a larger family? Rent both of our cabins! The other cabin is just a short walk away, but each cabin has it's own complete privacy. The listing for the other cabin is VRBO 887428 (Wolf Den).

*CANCELLATIONS*
We allow cancellations if they are more that 30 days out from your date of arrival. However, we recommend purchasing Travelers Insurance for any unexpected event or emergency that may arise less than 30 days before your check-in date.

Cozy Cabin in the Woods
The cabin was charming and full of surprises. We had a great time exploring outside. We appreciated the fire wood for the stove, GameBoy, DVDs, sleds, reading nook, hot cocoa/coffee and bottle of wine! We had an excellent and relaxing weekend. Thank you!

Fun Snowy Getaway!
We had a fantastic time at Sherry & John's A-frame in Peshastin. The weather was cold (17 below as we drove over Blewitt Pass!), but the cabin was toasty for our arrival. The kids spent time on the sledding hill right outside the cabin, then came in to warm up with cocoa and a movie or board game, then back out to sled more. The beds were comfy and we appreciated the special touches like the sparkling cider, cocoa and marshmallows. We spent one day in Leavenworth shopping, sledding & eating, and went to the Leavenwoth Reindeer Farm another day. We can't wait to return for the summer season to play in the creek and have more fun!

Wonderful Retreat
Such an adorable, cozy retreat overlooking the river. We went at Christmas time. Cabin was nicely decorated for the holiday. It was a bit tight, but the four of us mostly stayed in and played cards, made pancakes, watched Christmas movies, and enjoyed the fire and gorgeous river view. Great coffee/sandwich shop just down the road. Hosts were wonderful, and really seemed to have thought of every detail to make our stay perfect. As it was!

A magical snowy escape!
Exactly as we expected.. and more! It is really hard to describe "peaceful" in words. Staying in this cabin gives a new meaning to the word "PEACEFUL" The many outdoor views the cabin offers along with the sound of Peshastin Creek will totally mesmerize you! Inside the cabin we found that every need was provided for, including movies and a nice selection of games. The snowshoes were a welcome treat. It was hard to venture away from the cabin but we did, enjoying the dining and shopping in Leavenworth, Cashmere and Peshastin. We are looking forward to a spring time return visit!

Great space and location!
This sweet A frame was the right amount of rustic paired with comfortable updates. The owners were warm, communicative, and very helpful. The beds are some of the best I've slept in, the view from the big windows is gorgeous (especially during fall!) and the proximity to hiking was great. We loved curling up on the couch by the fire and being close enough to Leavenworth town center to enjoy it but far enough away to feel like we had some quiet and unplugged time. We would definitely stay in this sweet and cozy cabin again.
