Great base for our stay in Perth. High quality fixtures and fittings and a great views looking out to sea. Close to many good places to eat and drink. Would Highly recommend.
Observation rise is a large and spread out apartment complex on the beach side of the highway. It is an older facility which means that the apartments are a good size with generous balconies. Our apartment had been refurbished and was updated with modern and functional fixtures and fittings. The pools and gym are a good size and the apartments are private. This is the second time we have stayed at Observation Rise (different apartment last time). I would happily recommend it as a place to base your holiday at Scarborough

Flatters to deceive
So our apartment.
Well firstly the view was stunning and probably made up for the shortcomings of the accommodation.
Whilst the living accommodation was very spacious the two rear bedrooms where poor, one without the en-suite suffering from no air conditioning and an inability to open the window as an air conditioning exhaust was right outside.
Some of the furniture was tired.
We spent an hour cleaning the frying pan and bbq so that they could be used.
There was a distinct lack of shade on the balcony and the balcony furniture had no sunbathing facilities. We understand the need for heavy durable balcony furniture as our own solarium in Spain requires the same, but the available and necessary cushions were frankly appalling and disgusting.
The resort facilities were excellent as was the complex location.
So all in all, the accommodation on the whole met our needs but having stayed in luxury accommodation around the world your facility missed that mark.
