10 steps to Perth convention centre

Posted 26-Feb-2017
Pros: staff, location and amenities
Cons: cost of food was ridiculous, so we went elsewhere
Location: easy walk to Elizabeth quay, shopping, restaurants and convention centre
good hotel within 10mins to hay street mall, 5 mins to Elizabeth quay on foot. all staff were friendly and efficient. we stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment with a balcony. apartment was clean and comfortable with a pretty good kitchen, dishwasher. there were also laundry facilities in the bathroom. smoking was permitted on the balcony

Room was okay for what we need for our stay for several nights as we traveled with children. Our stay was pleasant we had a few minor things that we had to get the maintenance guy to come and repair and we found the all staff extremely helpful and friendly but sometimes it seemed that they were under staffed front of desk at times but overall we were happy with our stay.

A good hotel for events at convention centre. Not what I was after for my weekend away.

Find somewhere else in the Perth cbd

Not sure how this has a 4.1 rating. Rooms are seriously tiny, outdated, weirdly placed windows with no sun blockout, bathroom wasn't cleaned (even rinsed) each day. Not the worst hotel room but doesn't deserve 4.1 at all. Wouldn't stay here again

Cons: The person who checked us in told us our room was on level 2, but it was on level 3 Wasted time & energy looking on the wrong level
Lovely clean and comfortable hotel. Great location, close to the walkway from the busport to the city

Nice hotel will stay again

Posted 06-Dec-2016 on Wotif
Pros: Pretty much everything was excellent except finding it lol. Obviously as I know where it is now that won't be a problem for future stays.
Cons: Access, needs better, more prominent signage of Mounts Bay Rd, and more information on there website that hotel access is via Mill St.
Location: Location is great. Pretty much on the doorstep of the exhibition center, next to Elizabeth Key and ferries/bell tower. Short walk to business district
Great value for money, rooms as advertised, nice and spacious with balcony (standard room), clean, large bathroom with bath, kitchenette and microwave, stereo and CD player was a nice touch as I much prefer music to TV (most hotels don't give you music anymore). Very quiet with block out blinds and comfy bed made for a great sleep. Good location. Nice atmospheric hotel bar and restaurant, had a lovely lunch and drink there. Helpful and friendly hotel and bar staff. Only negative is it's a bit tricky to find as it is very poorly sign posted from Mounts Bay Rd. I drove past it twice and almost had an accident while looking for it as that stretch of the Esplanade and mounts Bay Rd is multiple lanes and extremely busy. The website doesn't mention that access is actually of Mill St of Mounts bay Rd. You miss it because you are actually driving past the back of the hotel and as I wrote very poor/nil signage. I actually ended up parking at the exhibition center as I knew the hotel was near this and asking the parking attendants for directions. Turns out the front of the hotel that you see in the pictures faces the exhibition center and so can't be seen from Mounts bay Rd. Also as parking is very limited I had to park elsewhere, this is fine and normal for many hotels but beware don't park at the exhibition center as its very expensive. It would have cost me $70 had I not moved my car. There is some covered and secure Wilson parking very close by on Spring St that is much cheaper.

Great hotel, and staff

Only down side to the hotel is that there is very very very limited parking at the hotel... we had to park our car at a public car park for our stay at the hotel and pay for the parking that was a 5minute walk from the hotel that was rather expensive
