"First and forwmost, lack of communication from the owner/manager. No responses for queries at all. The rooms were clean upto an OK level. Bathroom was not very clean. Our room was at the front of the property overlooking a very busy road. It was not sound proof at all. Staff was good, reaponsive. Parking is available, but accessing it is a hassle. "I spent a week here in September 2026. This hotel is handy enough to all the local night life but is quiet enough to be relaxing. There are a lot of good local restaurants within the vicinity. It’s great to just try new foods. A first for me was a Xacuti. Very spicy. Very good."

"Very nice property....not near the sea (beach is about 2 km away) and a quiet location. Very friendly and well appointed staff...very helpful. The Front desk manager Bhawana Rai was truly exceptional....very friendly, knowledgeable and super helpful with an excellent sense of humor. Great Bar with lovely music (albeit a tad bit loud for me) and fantastic food. Overall a great property if beach is not your primary criteria."

"The staff and the general facilities and the room were great. Just two downsides. 1. During my stay they decided to drain the swimming pool and regrout and refill. We were told that this would take two days. My time at the hotel finished after 4 days and the pool was still not open. It would have been a good idea to do this maintenance work during the low season rather than with a hotel full of holidaymakers. 2. Strangely you were only allowed to use one device on the Wi-Fi. If you tried to add a second device a warning was given that one device, 1 ip address had already been used. So you couldn’t even withdraw one device in favour of another. The location was very good, some really good restaurants in walking distance. All in all a good stay."

"Value for Money, old property maintained very well. 5 min walk to the beach. True Taj heritage style for the money you pay. Comfy, class and exceptional front office on boarding staff. IT engineer was truly exceptional to fix my secure Wi-Fi issue. Restaurant is decent enough nothing classy about it and service is all over as it’s a new team I guess. Overall, the stay was good, enjoyed it and value for money!"
