Did not meet expectations
It is a very quiet and peaceful area. I rated it poorly for cleanliness and overall, because on initial entry to the cottage we were met with an overwhelming smell of damp. We also had to deal with a fruit fly issue even though we kept kitchen surfaces clean, food put away and the rubbish outside. We don't mind basic, but this was an expensive cottage for the week and we would have expected a shower to work properly and someone else to strip the bed and collect the towels at the end of our stay.

Cosy cottage in the countryside
A nice cottage in a quiet part of the countryside. Very friendly hosts & an excellent garden to admire the various plants being cultivated. Good connections to the local towns & the various coastal beaches. Overall, a good place for a week away from the rat-race.

Disappointing
Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay at Maple Cottage, it was not what we had expected, based on the online reviews. We found the cottage cold, unwelcoming and the furnishings and equipment basic.

Beautiful stay at this wonderful haven
We had a fantastic stay here. The space is a great size, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and the private garden was so lovely to have access to. The cottage has everything you need for a cosy stay and the location is amazing. Close enough to Penzance and other spots but out in the countryside too. It was a pleasure to meet and chat with Pam and Noel. We would definitely stay again 🙂

Very clean and great location
We really liked how clean Maple Cottage was (especially in the midst of a pandemic). The location was also excellent and we found some nice walks in the area. The cottage was very quiet so good for a getaway. Communications from the host was good but they also gave us privacy. The only drawbacks to the cottage was the toilet/shower - the flush to the toilet was very temperamental and proved very difficult to flush. The shower was extremely weak and quick showers were challenging. We ended up taking baths more often (as there was no issue filling the bath with the taps!) which felt like a waste of water.

Great place for a quiet get-away.
We loved this place. Pam and Noel were excellent hosts. We loved meeting them when we arrived. They explained everything perfectly. The cottage is adorable and exactly what we wanted. I’d recommend a stay at Maple Cottage.

Beautiful cottage
My wife and I had a lovely stay in Noel and Pam's cottage. It is perfectly located to visit the sites around South Cornwall, including Lands End, St Ives, St Michaels mount. The house is very cosy and has a lovely private garden. Thank you for a fantastic stay! Rupert and Jess

Lovely peaceful cottage -easy drive St Ives Mousehole Zennor, Newlyn Lamorna Minack
Traditional stone house with gorgeous walled garden and beautiful views over the countryside. Sensitively renovated, well equipped and perfectly idyllic for a holiday. Excellent restaurants and coffee shops a short drive away. The owners are artists of a friendly, relaxed and quiet disposition. We spent a lot of time in Barbara Hepworth’s studio and garden, and The Tate in St Ives. Wonderful! Not crowded. We bought a good value 7day Art pass and lunched in the excellent Tate cafe several times. It looks out over the yellow lichen covered slate roofs of the town to the bay. We walked along cliffs and beaches like no others. Clean air and intense greens and blues sparkling on the sea. Massive boulders of granite perched on top of moors and hills. Birdsong, the wind and the sound of the ocean but nothing to interrupt the sense of peace. Little fishing villages with bustling harbours uploading fish and crab. The local people are as relaxed as the tourists! Always friendly and helpful. Car parking was a bit problematic unless we arrived early in the morning, but they were in the process of updating pay machines. We had a week only but it was much too short a stay. Our plan is to go back for much longer. Next time we’ll check the programme and book for the theatre at Minack. We came back nourished but with good books and memories to think about. A special trip.

Everything we expected from this property, according to the description online.
We had a wonderful week here. Pam and Noel were perfect hosts, and made sure we had all we needed for out stay. The cottage was cosy, warm, and we loved coming back to it, after being out all day sightseeing . Warming log burner to relax in front of and a very comfy couch, all added to the relaxed atmosphere we wanted from this holiday. Kitchen well equipped including a washing machine, which we've never had before in a cottage rental. Everything we needed for our stay, couldn't fault it.

Maple Cottage, Sancreed
We loved the very clean and comfortable cottage which had a distinct "oldie worldie" charm. Our stay was very relaxing in the quiet location a little off the beaten track but nevertheless close to many of Cornwall's beautiful attractions. The owners, Pam and Noel, gave us an immediate very warm welcome and were most attentive during our stay in attending to our every need. This was certainly a holiday which provided us with total peace and quiet and we were most sorry when the time came to leave.

Maple Cottage was a delightful place to stay in a stunning location.
The owners were very helpful and friendly. The cottage had original art work on the walls that really made it unique. It was a very good base for visiting lots of fantastic places, such as St Michael`s Mount, Mousehole, Cape Cornwall and St Ives.

Our best place in Cornwall: beautiful, quiet, friendly, stylish with a lot of privacy
The traditional, granite cottage was still better than the description. It is situated - hidden within a couple op traditional buildings in a wide landscape, not far from the main road from Penzance to Lands End, but far enough to hear nothing from the traffic. Though the cottage is very old, it makes a very stylish impression, with a kitchen open to the living room. The sleepingroom and the large bathroom are upstairs (the stairs are comfortable). The cottage has an own garden with a granit wall around it, so that one can enjoy the sun, without being blowing away by the wind. Everything was very clean and new. The library contained a lot of interesting books and we did appreciated very much to find a very detailed map of the surroundings, which was very useful to find the way aside the main roads. The owners, one of them being an artist, have been helpful and friendly. We were invited to visit the art studio, which was very impressive. Yes, we definitely would like to stay there next time and would recommend the property to our friends.

Lovely cottage
Das denkmalgeschützte Cottage von Pam und Noel ist der ideale Standort um den Südwesten Cornwells zu erkunden. Lands End, Minack Theater, Porthcurno, St. Michaels Mount, St. Ives, und viele viele weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten wie z.B. men-an-tol, lanyon quoit und boscawen- un sind schnell zu erreichen. Das Cottage versprüht einen ganz eigenen individuellen und wunderbaren Charme und ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung des Cottage ist vollständig und zweckmäßig. Der zugehörige eigene Garten besticht durch seine Pflanzenviefalt, wie das gesamte Anwesen von Pam und Noel. Die beiden Künstler sind wunderbare Gastgeber, dezent zurückhaltend und dennoch immer offen für ein Gespräch und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir hatten zwei wunderschöne erholsame Wochen in Maple Cottage und kommen gerne wieder. Warm regards to Pam und Noel

Schön war's in diesem bezaubernden Cottage
Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in Maple Cottage. Das Häusschen ist sehr gemütlich, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Besonders gut haben uns der Ofen und der kleine Garten gefallen. Pam und Noel sind sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Noel ist Künstler. Er hat uns mit in sein Atelier genommen und erklärt, wie er malt. Wirklich toll. Wir können Maple Cottage absolut weiterempfehlen. Ruhiges und charmantes Cottage in toller Lage
Maple Cottage ist gemütlich und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung ist gut, nur der Wasserdruck der Dusche ist sehr spärlich. Das Cottage liegt wunderbar ruhig und hat eine gute Ausgangslage für viele Unternehmungen. Pam und Noel sind freundliche Gastgeber. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Ein traumhaftes Ferienhaus in Cornwall für 2 Personen
Das Cottage ist gut ausgestattet, sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der abgeschirmte eigene Gartenbereich ist traumhaft. Wir haben den Aufenthalt bei Pam und Noel sehr genossen. Sehr zuvorkommende und nette Vermieter, die auch Künstler (Maler und Musiker, tolle Bilder!) sind. Wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr gemütlich, Vermieter ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit
Sehr gemütliche Unterkunft in guter und ruhiger Lage. Schöner Platz zum sitzen im Freien. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und engegenkommend. Einziges Ärgernis ist die Dusche, deren Wasserdruck sehr zu wünschen übrig lässt.

gemütliches Cottage
Das waren Ferien in einem ganz traditionellen gemütlichen Cottage mit einem kuscheligen Garten, in dem man geschützt vor dem Wind sitzen kann. Das Cottage hat eine sehr gute Lage, um den ganzen Süden kennen zu lernen. Leider war es recht kühl, so dass wir uns abends einheizen mussten. Sehr interessant und sehenswert ist auch die Galerie. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und bedanken uns bei Pam und Noel ganz herzlich.

ruhig, abgelegen, idyllisch, typisch
Ein eigenständiger Anbau an das alte Haupthaus mit eigenem Gartenanteil erwartet den Besucher über einen begrünten Hinterhof. Das Künsterlerehepaar sind sehr nette und zurückhaltende Gastgeber. Alles war perfekt, nur die Dusche in der Badewanne gab nur spärlich Wasser.
