Churchtown House Annex is a converted barn accommodation attached to Churchtown House. An immaculately designed home surrounded by a walled garden with great furnishings and beautiful artwork. The ground floor hosts 2 bedrooms, a shower room and laundry. The first floor has a kitchen, two lounges and a third bedroom. The exterior has an amazing garden patio with views of the amazing Cornish coast line. The Space: This is a house with incredible history. The walk to the beach is a mere 5 minutes and the pub only a 1 minute walk away! Churchtown House has a magnificent energy and will feel like a home away from home. Recently renovated with much loving care, you'll be surrounded with comfort, stunning artwork and premium fixtures. The Annex has a very cosy feeling with underfloor heating and a log burner for those colder evenings. The gardens are beautiful and perfect for a game of footy or relaxing in the sun. A great family vacation destination. Guest Access: This is a great house for children, but we do not have a stair gate on the stairs. We can provide a travel cot and highchair. The Neighborhood: There is a small shopping area and two fabulous cafes in the village, on the walk to the beach. It's a lovely village, rated a favourite amongst the locals for surfing and beach time away from the crazy commercialisation in St. Ives and other beaches on the North coast. Getting Around: While access to Perranuthnoe is easy by train into Penzance, it is good to have a car so that you can visit the numerous sites around Cornwall! Other Things to Note: There is parking in the courtyard, but we suggest that you park on the street in front of the house. Interaction with Guests: We'll be in touch with detail on the property to ensure that you have everything to make your stay the most memorable it can be. ## Property amenities ### Beach - Beach nearby ### Internet - Available in the house: WiFi ### Parking and transport - Parking on site ### Kitchen - Cookware, dishware, and utensils ### Bedrooms - 3 bedrooms - Bedsheets provided ### Bathroom - 2 bathrooms - Hair dryer - Shower - Towels provided ### Living spaces - Fireplace ### Entertainment - Books - DVD player - TV with cable/satellite channels ### Outdoor areas - Balcony - Barbecue grill - Garden ### Laundry - Laundry facilities - Washing machine ### Comfort - Heating ### Pets - No pets allowed ### Suitability/Accessibility - Smoke-free property ### Services and conveniences - Iron/ironing board ### Location highlights - In a rural location - In a village - Near the sea ### Things to do - Optional golf privileges - Fishing nearby - Horseback riding nearby - Rock climbing nearby ### Safety features - Carbon monoxide detector (host has indicated there is a carbon monoxide detector on the property) - Smoke detector (host has indicated there is a smoke detector on the property) - First aid kit - Fire extinguisher ### General - Garden - Unit size: 1,066 square feet ## Similar properties ![Cottage | Interior](https://images.trvl-media.com/lodging/32000000/31010000/31005100/31005098/b4823ec0.jpg?impolicy=fcrop&w=469&h=201&p=1&q=medium) ### Woolly Welcome Penzance - Kitchen - Washing machine - Parking included - Free Wi-Fi 10 Exceptional 1 review [](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Hotel-Search?startDate=2026-03-11&endDate=2026-03-12&selected=31005098&PinnedHotelID=31005098&HadPinnedHotel=true®ionId=-1&adults=2) ![Living area](https://images.trvl-media.com/lodging/101000000/100900000/100899700/100899693/429118cd.jpg?impolicy=fcrop&w=469&h=201&p=1&q=medium) ### Puffins Rest Penzance - Kitchen - Washing machine - Pet-friendly - Parking included [](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Hotel-Search?startDate=2026-03-11&endDate=2026-03-12&selected=100899693&PinnedHotelID=100899693&HadPinnedHotel=true®ionId=-1&adults=2) ![Cottage | Exterior](https://images.trvl-media.com/lodging/116000000/115490000/115486800/115486761/b24f4003.jpg?impolicy=fcrop&w=469&h=201&p=1&q=medium) ### Traditional Holiday Cottage in Goldsithney, No Deposit Penzance - Pet-friendly - Parking included [](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Hotel-Search?startDate=2026-03-11&endDate=2026-03-12&selected=115486761&PinnedHotelID=115486761&HadPinnedHotel=true®ionId=-1&adults=2) ![Beach nearby](https://images.trvl-media.com/lodging/46000000/45520000/45518700/45518655/685dffd9.jpg?impolicy=fcrop&w=469&h=201&p=1&q=medium) ### Hidden gem, panoramic coastal views, beach & cafes. We stayed here in 2020 and came back again this year. As good as we remembered. A beautiful property that has been furnished to a very high standard. Lots of thoughtful touches. And of course, a great location! ##### Julian B. The garden is amazing, but shared with the adjacent house so it can cause some friction, especially if you / they have a dog. The upstairs / downstairs layout is brilliant, and everything has a lovely feeling of space / class. ##### Xavier Q. Churchtown House is a beautiful old house in a prominent position in the village. The annex is fantastic. it is modern, light, airy, spacious and tastefully decorated. It perfectly suited our 3 generation family of six. The kitchen and laundry-room are well equipped with quality goods. There is easy access to a large garden which has a wonderful terrace with a BBQ, table and chairs and overlooks the bay. The village is charming and unspoilt as is the beach which is only a 5 minute stroll away. And finally Kathleen is a great host, she responded quickly to all my queries. Our whole family loved staying there and would not hesitate to go again. ##### ruth r. Property was very clean and well equipped throughout. The rear garden was a great place to relax in the late afternoon sun. Would definitely stay again. The 4 stars for the location is due to the on road parking directly outside the property which can make car access in and out of the gates difficult. The bollards put out by the owners to try to keep a gap outside the gates, disappeared midway through the stay. We therefore also ended up parking on the road to avoid being blocked in.. ##### Philip M. It is very spacious and wonderfully appointed. Good family kitchen and different places to chill out in the house and garden. Nice to have lockable storage for boards and bikes. The parking is a little tight if the guests in the. main house have two large cars. Location is great, for the beach, the cliff footpath, local cafes and pub, and to access attractions further afield. Recommended! ##### Volker C. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Maurice M. 9 Aug 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Excellent addition to main house also bookable separately This property which s the annex to the main house is in a quieter corner of Cornwall. Some people will relish the bustle of nearby St Ives but for us the quieter location was perfect. There is an hourly bus service along the coast road. We used this to go to Praa to the east and walked back. Equally to the west you can go to Marizion and St Michael's Mount. Travellers from London are recommended the sleeper service into Penzance. A bit pricey but worth it. Larger parties are recommended to combine bookings for the main house and the annex. Nice views from the gardens. ##### Maurice M. ### 8/10 Good #### John W. 4 Aug 2019 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Wonderfully located for the beach Church town annex is very well appointed for Perranuthnoe beach, sitting above the main thoroughfare into the village, two minutes from the Victoria Inn. We have been this to this village/beach many times in the past, loving the beach, which trends to be quieter than some others, so this time (July 19) decided to stay in the village. The accommodation was very well equipped and beautifully furnished, there were a few minor issues, two blinds not working, the upstairs shower did not function correctly, thermostat being broken upon arrival. We also suggested a blind would be useful for the skylight in the master bedroom, during the summer, the whole room lights up at dawn, during the winter I’m sure it’s not an issue. There was no microwave during our visit, something for those with babies and young children to consider. The courtyard and garage are very useful for boards, bikes, beach equipment etc, be aware that during peak months parking in the village is at a premium, so people park in front of the gate, making it very difficult to enter or exit in a vehicle, until they have moved. The garden was lovely, overlooking the coast, a must for alfresco dining from breakfast til evening, or just to chill and read the paper. A must for anyone who likes to walk, is a jaunt along the coastal path to Marazion, approx. 2 miles, so not far, my wife, I and two teenage daughters enjoyed it a great, with lunch at the end. You can easily walk to over to St Michaels Mount, we have done so any previous occasions, so not this time. Only ten minutes to Levant train station for the short train ride down to St Ives for a bite to eat in the evening. We only went out twice, as Perranuthnoe is the place we chose to chill out. The cottage was beautifully furnished, Kathleen has made every effort to make it a home from home, trusting guests with various pieces of art around the property and pleasant furnishings. We loved our holiday, as we always do, visiting Cornwall three weeks a year for the last 8 or so years. A special place! ##### John W.
