Guest Access:
The apartment is on the first floor, it is accessed via keysafe so you can arrive at your convienience anytime after 3pm. There is no lift so please bare in mind that you will have to walk up the stairs.
The Neighborhood:
The property is situated in the historical Causewayhead formely a pig market, there are plenty of shops, cafes and character in Causewayhead and the longest continually running cinema in the UK having opened its doors in 1912. The building is situated at the bottom end of Causewayhead right next to the main street in Penzance "Market Jew Street" also a few moments walk from the famous "Chapel Street" known for its independant shops, cafes and galleries.
Penzance, nestled in the heart of Mounts Bay, is the capital of Penwith and West Cornwall. With plenty of history and long standing traditions combined with up to date facilities, shops and transport links, Penzance offers residents a unique place to live and laid back way of life.
Penzance (or Pen Sans in Cornish) means holy headland, referring to the headland to the west of the harbour where a chapel was built over a thousand years ago. Historically Penzance has been a market town from 1592. For more information, read the history of Penzance.
Modern Penzance had a population fast approaching 30,000 people covering all ages, nationality's and religions. The architecture of the town is predominately Georgian and Regency, but influences of other styles creeping into many of the houses on many of the towns streets. The town is the considered the capital of the Lands Ends peninsula due to the large shopping area with hundreds of retailers and a large proportion commercial businesses of the area.

Parking closest to this property
Clarence Street car park is 2 minutes walk away this offers free parking from 4pm-9am. During hours out side of this time Clarence Street is a short stay carpark and you can only park here for a max of 3 hours.
St Erbyns Long Stay Carpark is a 5 minute walk away. See map in check in Instructions.
On street parking is also available in surrounding streets, and free of charge (not on any yellow lines) this is on a first come basis, try the below streets.

Bus routes
You’ll find Penzance Bus Station at the bottom of town, near the harbour. From here, you can travel out to local towns and villages like Marazion, St Ives, Land’s End, Newlyn and Mousehole.
In good weather, open top buses travel on the most popular tourist routes around St Ives, Land’s End and Marazion. To check times, visit the First website.
Bike hire
Opt for two wheels to take advantage of the quiet lanes and cycle paths. Bikes can be hired from several spots in and around Penzance, including Penzance Bike Hire from RideOn eBikes, Trinity Yard and Land’s End Cycle Hire in nearby Long Rock.
Or download the "Beryl" app and help yourself to one of the green electric bikes dotted around the town (be sure to check the battery life of the bike you choose before you set off).
Parking
Penzance has several short and long-stay car parks, operated by Cornwall Council. If you’ll be travelling around west Cornwall, seven and 14-day Rover tickets are available to buy online and allow you to park in most long-stay car parks for a one-off payment.

Sailings to the Isles of Scilly
From Penzance Harbour, pop over to the Isles of Scilly: a cluster of Mediterranean-style islands 28 miles off Land’s End. The Scillonian III sails from Easter to November, arriving on the largest island of St Mary’s. If you’re driving to Penzance, you can leave your vehicle securely with Isles of Scilly Parking or Scilly Parking.
