A SLICE OF HEAVEN ON EARTH!

We absolutely loved our stay here. From the warm welcome to the nights in the hot tub with wine enjoying the sunset. The view is gorgeous and we felt at home right away. It even has a greenhouse with fresh seasonal vegetables. The hosts have created such a special property and overall experience. And I highly recommend a tour and tasting at the vineyard. Our most memorable and best vacation rental so far. We didn’t want to leave. It sets the bar high for all the others now. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Wonderful in all respects

From absolutely stunning views to extremely peaceful location we cannot say enough great things about this place. From little items like USB outlets in every room to a bottle of vino from the vineyard all details were perfect. Ricardo and Paulina are the most gracious hosts looking after the smallest detail like making sure we caught the train. 6 out of 5 stars would not be an exaggeration in any sense. It was a special night when Paulina made pizza and Ricardo cooked it in the pizza wood oven. The best vrbo we’ve stayed in!

Truly special place

I’m going to go on longer than I ever have in a review such as this because we enjoyed ourselves so much. We reserved the property to spend time with several family members and had a truly wonderful time. The grounds, located on a hill top overlooking the Maule river, were fantastic. The area is agricultural, with vineyars, fruit orchards and forest all around. The rooms were very clean, well cared for, and tastefully decorated. The property features two kitchens, large outdoor grilling area and brick oven. The kitchens, as well as the rest of the rooms, were well stocked with essentials, far more than we expected. We spent considerable time in both the pool and wood-fired hottub. Our hosts were gracious, welcoming and extremely helpful, clearly explaining how everything worked. Do not miss taking the tour of their charming, rustic winery and sampling their excellent wines with a generous snack platter. We are already thinking about how soon we can go back.

Spectacular view enhanced by fabulous comfort

Riccardo and Paulina greeted us when we arrived. They were a delightful couple who are willing to help out wherever possible to ensure your stay will be memorable. The photos on the internet do not do this wonderful serene setting justice. Looking out from the property, the view of the valley below and the sight of hawks flying low were breathtaking. All the conveniences of home with extra touches, spring fed eco pool, wood-fired hot tub, outdoor bbq area and an authentic wood fired pizza oven added to the experience. The beds and linens were comfortable, elegant and pristine. The 2 kitchens were outfitted with everything you would need to cook to your hearts content. We truly enjoyed the wine tasting at the bodega down below the house - included fabulous charcuterie with some local touches, honey and olive oil from the property - a treat. Oh and the wine was delicious . The walking path from the house down to the vineyard is a fabulous addition that we took advantage of everyday. A great way to get some exercise, while walking amongst the vines, fruit and nuts trees.. We enjoyed picking oranges, grapefruit, avocados and cherries as well as niesperos and they were delicious. There is lots to do around the area - wonderful drives through vineyards, along orchards, up into the Andes, as well as the quaint train ride that you can catch from the vineyard to go into Constitucion (2.5 hr one way) . We certainly look forward to visiting this slice of heaven again in the future. If you are looking for a quaint spot to relax and enjoy in the Chilean fruit and wine region, stay here.

Me encantaría volver y disfrutar esa naturaleza viva nuevamente.....

Vista Al Cielo

Thank You Miriam, Paulina, Ricardo and Cisto! What an amazing home you have Miriam with views of the Maule River that constantly change with the setting sun. The breezes that came through the home were so soothing and the house was so comfortable and accommodating. Ricardo and Paulina were the kindest, sweetest couple and we hope to see them again when they come to California. They were there for all of our questions and needs and they provided a bodega tour and tasting that came complete with a beautiful tray of cheeses and meats – so enormous it became our dinner that night. The pool was the perfect temperature for the warm days and made our stay so relaxing. The cottage, Vista Al Cielo was truly a find and the perfect end to our month in Chile. Warmest regards to all, Cub & Kathy Beard

Lived up to our expectations and beyond!! Can't wait to go back!

Our stay at Vista el Cielo exceeded our expectations in so many ways! From the incredible welcome and help in getting familiarized with the area to the absolute awe of driving up to see the view for the first time, we knew we'd made the right choice. Our family stayed for a full 4 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The peace of relaxing in this beautiful setting and all of the activities we participated in made for a perfect holiday! Every day, we enjoyed the incredible views and often took the opportunity of hiking up the hill behind us to see the area from all angles. The pool and hot tub were awesome and perfect for cooling off in the hot afternoon or stargazing at night. The kitchen(s!) were extremely well stocked with everything you could need and the added bonus of our own greenhouse meant we enjoyed the freshest possible vegetables and herbs every day! Paulina was so helpful in introducing us to Talca and its local markets that we felt right at home quickly. We loved our wine tasting evening and fell in love with the natural small batch wines made right on site at the vineyard. It's amazing how many different fruits are being grown on the property and our family loved the opportunity to pick those that were ripe at that time of year. So delicious!!! A definite highlight was doing pizza night and learning from Ricardo how to cook in the big wood oven! We also got to participate in helping harvest honey from the bee hives and assisted with pruning in the vineyard one day. Our kids learned so much! One day, we hopped the little train that goes right through the vineyard and enjoyed a few hours seeing the coastal town of Constitucion. It was such a fun way to travel! The Maule River is beautiful for walking along, swimming and fishing! We had a local fisherman take us out and learned his simple fishing techniques. That was a definite treat for our fish-loving son! Staying for a full four weeks gave us the opportunity to do a bit of further sightseeing and we discovered that Lac Colbun, Panimavida, Santa Cruz and the mountains of Reserva National Altos de Lircay are all easy day trips. Over all, we could not have had a better holiday. We are now in love with Chile and are so grateful to Miriam, Paulina, Ricardo and Luis for making our stay so memorable!

An amazing place to relax and see Chile

This property is absolutely breathtaking!! The view is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen overlooking vineyards, the Maule River, and a cute train you can take to the coast. We spent our days sitting by the pool taking in the view enjoying wines from the estate or nearby wineries Balduzzi in San Javier or in Santa Cruz. The evenings we watched the incredible sky from the hot tub. We greatly enjoyed the owners, all of their expertise and most of all, their company! The are some of the most genuine, kind people you will ever meet. Don't let the rural address scare you! The property is worth the drive out of town and you will see sights you could never see from the highway. When you arrive in Talca, the owners will meet you at a supermarket where you can stock up on groceries for your stay. If you are looking to relax in a beautiful place in REAL Chile, this place will be perfect for you.

Views, Privacy, Tranquility!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this unique property in the heart of Maule, 40km from Talca. We were warmly greeted by Ricardo and Paulina who were the most gracious hosts. The home and casita were comfortable and very well equipped. The eco pool and wood-fired hot tub were additional benefits of our stay. Sitting in my the hot tub late at night, in complete darkness, produces a theater of stars like nowhere else. The beds and lines were top of the line. The wine tasting and tour of the vineyard were most memorable. We recommend the antique (1949) 2 carriage train, that meanders the river valley with wonderful views. Enjoy the ambience of the locals as they carry their goods to market at the oceanfront in Constitution. It was a unique experience with a local flavor. Wine tasting at our hosts winery and vineyard was a true highlight. Another highlight was a tour of the vineyard and hike to the Maule River. We will never forget the warm hospitality of this experience. We recommend this to adult couples who enjoy peace, tranquility and the remoteness of this beautiful valley. Our heartfelt thanks!
