Custom luxury retreat in the Knoxville area

English Creek Retreat is located just 2.5 miles South of the town of Knoxville on Highway 14. Surrounded by alfalfa fields, this studio has a back country feel while being only a quarter mile off of the main highway.

Wildlife, especially deer, can be viewed in the early morning and evening in the alfalfa fields surrounding the studio. Several self landscaped flower gardens as well as a vegetable garden can be viewed at your pleasure.

English Creek Retreat offers easy access to the nearby towns of Knoxville and Pella, which offer many seasonal activities such as sprint car races and tulip time. The capitol of Iowa, Des Moines, is only 40 miles away and offers all varieties of shopping and dining options.

The studio and the main house are separated but on the same acreage so guests can enjoy the privacy of their own space while still having as much interaction with the hosts as they desire.

We have one dog and farm cats which are free to roam around the acreage so we do not allow pets. All of the animals are easygoing and family friendly.
Cell service can be spotty to nonexistent inside the building.

English Creek Retreat is a secluded acreage located down a private lane. We share the lane with one other house.

Well thought-out accommodations in quiet beautiful surroundings
We had a very pleasant stay while attending the Tulip Time festival in the nearby community of Pella. The accommodations were well furnished and appointed, and the bed was very comfortable.

Beautiful and Clean!
This property was beautiful and well taken care of. Julie was very nice, quick to reach out and reply to any questions. The space is comfortable and clean and decorated very nicely. The location itself was great- very easy to get to from the main roads. However, I was surprised how close it is to the main house. It wasn’t a problem at all, just something to note if you were looking for more space or privacy. The cabin/property itself is the front portion of a Morton building/workshop maybe? So when the owners go into the other portion of the building, you can see them walk by the window, hear the footsteps, gathering tools, etc. Again, no big deal and they were not intrusive at all during my stay. Just something I wasn’t expecting and thought could be helpful for others to know. It was a great weekend and I’m thankful to have stayed here. The view was gorgeous and it was a great property!
