The place has delightful art nouveau decor but the retro charm is combined with fast wifi, easily accessible plugs and lights everywhere, comfortable beds with a lot of excellent pillows and crisp sheets, great water pressure, and a really well equipped kitchen full of snacks and everything you need to feel right at home. Those leather couches and chairs in the living room are so cushy. Carole is a thoughtful and extremely welcoming host. After a long grueling winter drive, being met with a fire and a humidifier running was absolutely perfect. The list of all the nearby stores and restaurants with their opening hours was a really helpful touch. An early walk along the river the next morning communing with ravens and enjoying the ice lilypads was a lovely mind-clearing start to the day. It is clean, comfortable and cared for. The history of the building itself is quite interesting and displayed throughout. And Carole, the building caretaker/hostess, is a gem! She goes out of her way to make sure that you are comfortable and cared for. Such a little gem in Northern Alberta. So many little touches like a diffuser in the hall and snacks in the kitchen that make it a comfortable and unique place. Comfy beds and huge bathroom. Walkable to the brewery and the Board and Barrel. I'll be booking again for my next trip to PR!
