We met Mary, one of the owners, she was very polite and accommodating. The house was one of the cleanest places we have stayed in. There was not a spec of dust or a streak in a mirror. Even outside was cleaned up, and we stayed right after a hurricane. 2 master bedrooms was perfect for 2 couples. There is also another room with sets of bunk beds. Solid hardwood everywhere! Views of the marsh area are excellent. The home was very clean. The owners live minutes away and were very responsive to a couple of requests. The kitchen area is small and there isn’t a dishwasher so plan accordingly. The deck and picnic table are just out the back door and great for outdoor dining. One note is there is not any cover over the back deck to shield you from rain or full sun. We made due with a couple of umbrellas. The gazebo on the marsh is roofed and puts you in the middle of all the action. Great bird watching with morning coffee and evening cocktails. Unfortunately two new homes were being built across the street from the house. We just had some bad timing related to daytime construction noise outside as the homes were being put up and framed. The view is awesome and the dock is the longest in the area that we could see. The layout of the house gives views of the marsh in almost every room. Great for large gatherings in the common area. It is better for an off-season fishing trip rather than a beach trip, as it is not within walking distance to the beach(if you have young children and lots of gear in tow).
