"Nice spot for a night passing through. The hot tub was nice and hot. The shower water was wonky scalding hot or freezing. I appreciated the spacious room, 2 sinks, microwave and fridge. The property rooms could use some updating."

"I have stayed at Barker's Island Inn dozens of times over the past 20+ years. It has a great location on the bay that I value because I love to fish in the area with my boat. The bar and restaurant were good except there is no breakfast served weekdays unlike years past. The staff were helpful but were thin in numbers. The room we stayed in looked just like it did 20 years ago with zero improvements. Bath hardware should have been replaced decades ago--it sucks. Same carpeting and noisy HVAC system too . The beds were ok but the pillows must have been from a college dorm room. Very uncomfortable. There is an empty corner with a floor lamp and no chair---what?? We stayed two nights and staff did not make up beds between nights, just cleaned bathroom. That was a minor issue. The breakfast was the same style we saw during Covid: dry cereal, breakfast bars, coffee, pitcher of OJ, yogurt and cellophane wrapped mystery muffins. What a joke! The swimming pool and hot tub were nice but shows needed rehab. Pool showers had faucets that were broken. Get the picture? It is clear to a longtime user like me, that Barker's is in need of massive room refurbishment. Nothing has changed in over 20 yrs--nothing! Unless you are a boater, I recommend a different hotel."

"Service was really good! They were polite and quick. But there were quite a few spiders in our room, and a lot of short black hair in the bathroom and by the sink. Neither of us have black hair. Our room placement sucked, we were placed right next to a side door to the outside and could hear people coming in all night long, so we woke up in the middle of the night multiple times. Pool was nice, little chilly, but nice in this heat. Parking was alright as it is all on hills and slants, make sure you have good brakes before coming here."

"This was by far the dirtiest place i have ever stayed in my life. The bedsheet was not washed properly, shower had hair, bathroom had a foul smell, hallway was disghusting. I get it that its a budget hotel but i paid 90$ for such a terrible place to sleep I just needed to sleep for 5 hrs since I was driving all day."
