"We enjoyed 2 nights at the Blufin Bungalows. The property is very well run, clean, great location. This was our first visit to Chincateague and it was perfect! The only thing negative is that I thought we would be facing the bay and the floating cottages face each other, surrounded by water. That was my mistake. The essentials were provided (coffee pot and coffee for 2 mornings, toilet paper, paper towels)."
"The primary bedroom was very small but with the rooftop deck and the front porch it really wasn't an issue. The view of the sunset was incredible. The folks working at the "general store/check-in" were really nice. I love the rule of quiet after 10:00pm. We went the first week of June and it was really peaceful. We are booking for the same week next year!!!"
"This is my go to hotel when visiting Virginia. The rooms are always super clean and the young lady at the front desk was so nice we talked for ten minutes and I felt right at home.Special thanks to the lady that prepares the morning breakfast she is so polite and thoughtful she is a nice smile to see early in the morning."
"Super pet friendly! Large fridge. Bed & sink area were exceptionally clean. Bathroom area had a huge rust stain and spots that looked pretty disgusting but when i went to clean with disinfecting wipes...realized it was from the water & not detrimental....if the used CLR it probably would come out. Water smelled very rusty. Only had soaps ...no shampoo or conditioner. Could not get a hold of hotel to confirm late arrival...when we got there they said that they have been having phone problems for days. Expensive for type of hotel but easy to take our puppy out and appreciated the poop bag availability and trash can outside right across from parking."
"The Whitehaven is a unique and beautiful place. Breakfast was delicious and the owners make you feel like you’re at home. The location is amazing ! You can enjoy just seating at the balcony area and watch the sunset or take the ferry to Princess Anne County. Highly recommended! We can’t wait to go back!"
"My husband and I visited Smith Island for the first time for a two night stay. The house is clean and adorable and the owner goes out of her way to ensure you have a wonderful stay. A golf cart is all charged up for you to enjoy trips around the island. Bicycles are provided for you to ride too. Coffee Keurig cups, filtered water in the frig, and even bug spray are provided in case you forgot to bring yours. From arriving on the ferry to our trip back to Crisfield we encountered friendly people. We had to have the crab cakes and famous Smith Island Cake of course! The sunsets were beautiful. This trip was a perfect getaway. We plan to come back!"
"Let's start with the good. Great location. Now the rest. The check-in was as follows: open unlocked front door, see an envelope with your name on it, follow the instructions presented in the envelope, climb two steep staircases, go to room our assigned that (like the front door) not locked, get room key hanging from a hook on the wall in the room.
(My wife said that if see was alone she would have left, not know if someone unexpected, would be in her room. There was no one else in the building to hear if she screamed. There is three hour parking out front. We asked a stranger where we could park overnight, (turned out there is a lot around the corner). This hotel advertises a bar and restaurant, but both were closed. Fortunately, there is a great Pub across the street. I wouldn't consider this a hotel. More like a Bed and Breakfast (without the breakfast). I'm sure that there are those who would find this "hotel" quaint. It was just not our cup of tea.., even if I could have gotten one!"
