Great VRBO for 4 couples. We used this as a base for vineyard tours and the concert at Vino Robles on Saturday night. Our host was responsive but not intrusive, and we had a great time. I highly recommend this place!
Spent a wonderful long weekend at this special property. There were 4 couples so we each had our own bedroom with bath. Scott the owner was very accommodating and filled us in on various activities in the area. I highly recommend this property and look foward to staying here again.
Santellan is wonderful! So close to Paso and the wineries and yet a private, quiet property. We traveled with 4 couples and we all marveled at the size of the rooms and comfort of the beds! Scott was super communicative and accommodating as well. It was a fantastic stay and we all look forward to returning sooner than later!
This was the ideal location and setup for our group (4 couples) in town for a wine tasting weekend adventure. The 4 ensuite rooms offered great privacy while preserving the feel of sharing a home. The Inn is charming and well appointed. Amenities were excellent and communication from our hosts was spot on! Thank you, Melanie and Scott for your attentive responsiveness! Can't wait for the next time that we can come stay here!
CAME FOR A WEDDING , A GROUP OF FRIENDS RENTED FOR THE WEEKEND , THE 4 ROOMS ARE ALL SEPERATE , VERY NICE CLEAN FOR COUPLES OR EVEN FAMILY . LOOK OUT THE LIVING ROOM OR THE ROOM WINDOWS AND SEE A VERY COOL VIEW OF THE HILLS/VINYARDS . 10/10 WOULD COMEBACK IF IN THE AREA
We had a great stay, and the property was clean, but things were just a bit dated. The kitchen is odd in that there was not a stove or oven.
The beds were great and comfortable. Rooms were large.
All in all, we realized the owner is trying to update. The price was a bit high in relation to what we received in quantity.
This is 1 of 3 properties available at Santellan Vineyards, we rented all three properties for a week-long reunion to attend a wedding at another winery. We had a *great* time here relaxing and catching up.
Melanie Greer was a very engaged and friendly property manager who responds promptly. Scott was actively involved conducted the wine tasting for us, coordinating everything smoothly over text.
The property is located about 2 miles south of San Miguel and 5 miles north of Paso Robles, providing easy access to area attractions. The property is large - over 100 acres, and the inn is well insulated, shielding guests from road noise and heat. The main space and each room have separate air conditioners, allowing all guests to adjust temperatures to their liking.
There are common areas upstairs and downstairs, with the sink, dishwasher, and refrigerator in the downstairs area. There are many cooking appliances outside and inside (grill, smoker, electric cook top) with a large, clean refrigerator, but no oven or stove top. Each room has its own bar/sink area and TV, we didn't use these. This 4-suite inn is just a short walk to the ~16 person manor at the top of the knoll.
The listing specified no children - the property has a pond and is exposed to area wildlife. We requested an exemption for 2 young children who came for about 24 hours and were well supervised, and Melanie graciously allowed them. Read my reviews of the other listings for more info (1500 character limit).
This VRBO worked great for a weekend with a group of friends. Large and clean accommodations gave everyone their own space, and the location was perfect for heading into town and also for visiting local vineyards. Melanie is excellent with communication and I would recommend the stay!
Host was super helpful, and although they are just starting out, i think it will be an amazing lodging option for friends and couples~~
Just don’t plan on cooking which might be another plus for certain groups!!
We had four couples (three with young children), and this property was absolutely perfect. The rooms were large and luxurious, with adjustable beds, private bathrooms, and climate control in each room. Everything was in perfect condition, and the little amenities (K-cups, strong wifi) were all on point. The location is also great--it was an easy eight-minute drive to downtown Paso and a great base for exploring the whole area. This will definitely be our first choice next time we do a group weekend in Paso!
This place is great for 4 couples. The four Master Suites are very spacious, private and comfortable. The lack of an indoor stove and oven presents a small challenge if you want to dine in, but the outdoor gas BBQ, Blackstone griddle and Santa Maria BBQ make cooking possible. We made Paella one night and BBQ Tri tip another, plus we had a nice hot breakfast everyday, it just took a little extra planning. Scott, the owner, is very nice, very available and sincerely wants you to have a nice stay. They included a tasting at Santellan vineyards and the wines are excellent. The house is less than 10 minutes from downtown and is convenient to the whole Paso area.
Scott, the owner, was very nice and on call and available in case we needed anything during our stay. There are four master suites. There are two upstairs and two downstairs. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. They have a gas Bar-B-Que, a Santa Maria grill, and a Blackstone griddle. After a day of wine tasting it was nice to go back and have a nice dinner. We brought our food with us knowing we would be cooking on Saturday evening. This beautiful home was perfect for our group and a great location for all of our plans. Another added bonus is their tasting room located on the property. Their wine is very good and they have a very nice variety. We hope to stay here again next year.
My family and I enjoyed spending the weekend at this beautiful home during my daughter’s graduation. The area was so peaceful and relaxing. I would definitely consider staying there again. In fact, we have a 50th birthday celebrations coming up at the end of the year that I’m going to recommend to the family to have it at this beautiful venue, especially since we all enjoy wine tasting. Unfortunately, this time my family and I were not able to book a wine tasting during our stay because we had a full agenda for my daughter’s graduation but if I had known of the wine tasting tour we would have definitely booked one. In fact, next time we go to SLO we will make sure we add a wine tasting tour during our trip.
A special thanks to management for accommodating us with the early check in time.
If anyone is looking for a nice relaxing weekend, this is the place to stay.
