Very nice property, easy parking and close to downtown Paso Robles. Ideal for exploring the local vineyards and wineries. Well decorated and a very nice kitchen for longer stays. The outdoor seating area is very nice in the late evening as well.

Great Spot- short walk downtown

The property was located in the great part of town, a short walk to downtown and right near the freeway to go see the wineries would definitely stay there again.

Great location!

Very clean property. Perfect for 2 couples. Conveniently located near downtown Paso (walking distance) and the vineyards. There is quite a bit of street noise, but the host provides sound machines. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely Space

Very well located, this well-appointed upstairs unit is a short walk to downtown. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen a joy to cook in, though restaurants are tempting and plentiful so we mostly ate out. Wine and appetizers on the sunny deck. Overall a great weekend stay.

Great little place for 2 couples, both rooms with the king size beds and own bathrooms were a plus. Interesting location ( on main street) but was convenient to everything, only thing had little trouble with was using the TV remote, little confusing.

Wonderful couples getaway!

We had a lovely time! The home is perfect for two couples and was spotless. Our only minor recommendations are to include a cleaning spray in the home for kitchen use. In addition the outdoor lights are a little bright, it would be nice if they went off a little earlier at night.

weekend getaway

This property was perfect for myself, my brother and our spouses! The bedrooms were spacious and at opposite ends of the apartment. The property was clean, updated and beautiful. It was easy walking distance to downtown paso! The street could be a bit noisy during the day but was quiet at night. We all had a wonderful time!

Reunion and wine

Four women gathering to spend some wonderful days visiting and tasting wine. Close enough to downtown - about a 6 block walk. On and off the 101 super easy. Well appointed condo. Space inside and out to spread out. Great kitchen - we cooked a couple of meals. Pretty quiet sleeping for being in a major road! We loved it! Highly recommend and plan to come back again ourselves.

Overall Nice Stay

The apartment is clean and is in a good location. Has a great sitting area, however, get really hot in the afternoon. Would be nice if they could install a sun shade that could be dropped in the afternoon. Also the water pressure in the shower was not that good. Would have given 5 stars but water pressure was an issue. Besides those two issues, we enjoyed our stay.

We're so glad we chose The Top Shelf apartment for our stay. It truly felt like a home -- comfortable, clean, well-stocked kitchen, and nice furnishings. While we did not spend that much time inside, the home was a relaxing respite when we needed some downtime between tastings and meals. We really appreciated the design choices made by the owners (kitchen cabinets and counters, modern bathrooms, comfortable beds, etc.) that made The Top Shelf feel like a home, and not just another rental. The convenient location near downtown was an added benefit, as we walked to breakfast and dinner. My next trip to Paso Robles will definitely include another stay at The Top Shelf!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a great condo with an awesome kitchen and good room sizes. We were very comfortable while we stayed here and would stay again. There were only a couple of drawbacks... the first was minor, but there weren’t any bowls in the kitchen at all. This made eating breakfast cereal difficult. Also, one of the bedrooms had huge windows facing east that had shutters on them which didn’t block the bright morning sun at all. This made sleeping in very difficult.
