Great cottage!

The unit was clean and had lots of amenities. We appreciated the coffee and sugar available for our use. They had a BBQ and a firepit. We didn't use either on this trip, but it was nice to have and we plan on using both on a return trip in the future.

The Nook

This was our very first time in Paso Robles and I loved that we could walk downtown. It was only a few blocks away. I felt this place was very private with its own driveway. The back patio and side yard made this property feel larger than it is. The large glass door to the patio provides a nice view into town. The kitchen and bathroom were nice and modern. The large kitchen island was a nice touch. I would stay here again!

All appliances were newer and kitchen well stocked. Loved the outdoor patios and large patio slider(other than the flies). Bath also updated. Really liked having our own parking space. Close to everything and would stay here again. Took a day to figure out HVAC system but fine once we played around with it. Had to find instructions online.

Super Cute And Great Location

My husband, myself and our Australian Shepherd spent the weekend at the nook. Really close to downtown. Well appointed kitchen. We would definitely stay here again. My only suggestion: It would be great to add a gate at the top of the deck, so there's an enclosed space for the dog, next time we'll bring a gate with us.

The Nook

The stay at the Nook was nice, it is close to downtown, wineries and coastal cities (Cambria, Pismo, San Louis Obispo, Morro Bay, San Simeon).1. However, when we arrived there were no instructions for opening the patio door, or . The TV in the main room on how to get to the TV channels3. The sheets in the bedroom, need to be replaced, as they are old and worn with holes4.Theere was very little bath soap in the dispenser in the bathroom - bring your own bar of soap.5. No central heating, it got very cold the first night and we found a heater in the closet, which pumped very little heat, we resorted to using the little heater next to the TV in the bedroom. There is a main hear on the ceiling of the front room that work well, but you have to heat the rest of the house with the heaters available. It was cold the first night.6 No hand soap in the kitchen, the bottle was completely empty. I guess you could use the dish soap. I think for the amount charged for our stay was a little high for the amenities provided.

Cute Place

Cute place but bad communication with the host, VACASA. It seemed when I messaged them, it would generate an AI response instead of talking to a real person. Responses took 1-5 hours. Got to checkin early, however the place was 100+ degrees inside and it took about 8+ hours to get the AC to kick in and cool down the place. I wish they put the AC on prior to our arrival so we wouldn’t walk into a sauna. When we asked how to work the AC, they gave very vague steps and told me to replace the filter, which I feel like was not my job to do… overall, the place had everything. Washer, dryer, full kitchen with everything, bathroom, iron+board, shampoo, conditioner, parking, etc… Kind of a far walk to downtown, but only about a 2-4 minute Uber there. The shower head of the bathroom was not good at all. Would recommend a new one. No AC in the bedroom, so the bedroom took awhile to cool down.

Needs some work, but easy fixes will solve the issues

This VRBO is very cute. They did a nice job with the renovation, except for the HVAC. When we opened the door and went inside it was freezing! We immediately turned on the heat at the living room mini split. The listing said there was also one in the bedroom but there wasn't. It was supposed to get down to 35 degrees that night and I knew something had to be done. We called the PM and he said the photos in the listing show vents for heat. There were none, apparently they were drywalled over. So we asked for a space heater for the bedroom and a small one for the bathroom which was also freezing. (I can't imagine staying here in the summer with temps over 100 degrees. No AC either! The PM responded quickly with the space heaters, but the one for the bedroom was a radiator style that didn't provide much heat. I knew this was a dog-friendly VRBO, but people usually deep clean and get the smell and pet hair out. All of our belongings were covered in pet hair and my allergies were terrible by the time we left. On Day 2 we went out on the lovely deck to read and have a glass of wine by the fire pit. However, the propane tank was empty so we had to call the PM again! These things should be checked each time someone checks out.
