"This hotel is a unique gem and not only is it beautiful, but it has everything all in one picture perfect place. Oh, the view!!! The Pool!! The Drinks!!! The Food!!! But for all that, to us, what makes this hotel so special, hands down, is the staff. They all are so kind, helpful, personable, and simply wonderful. We love Tina A at the front desk during the day who is absolutely amazing and makes sure to check in with you that everything is going well, to Alfonso in the evenings, to Shalim, Bryan, and Susan serving up the best drinks and food and always making sure to you have everything you need. The kitchen staff at the Marala are top notch and the food is absolutely wonderful. The grounds are meticulously kept beautiful by maintenance, and you feel like you are in a little slice of paradise. The rooms are simple, and we like that. The beds are the most comfortable clouds to sleep on with equally amazing down bedding. The maids do a great job daily too. We are planning to return to Costa Rica hopefully in March and the Marala will most definitely part of our trip again."

"Hello, My wife and I stayed here for 4 days. The service was incredible, breakfast included , and they even upgraded our room. Would recommend anyone to stay here if they never have visited Costa Rica. The staff provided great service and recommendations. It felt like I was in the show White Lotus lol"

"The place is amazing. Is the perfect Costa Rica escape. You have a desert beach a few steps away from you room, the pool is incredible and the isolated vibes is perfect to disconnect from the world. Friendly staff and a big shout out to Diana, the owner, who is very careful and welcoming. The room is great, comfortable and spacious. The only note we have is regarding the shower: the shower wasn’t the best, it was lacking some maintance. Other watch out for people is that to get to the hotel you need to drive by a 5km unpaved road, so it takes a while and make things a bit far, but if you are looking for a disconnection I couldn’t recommend a better place. 100% would stay again."
