A tad overpriced but convenient location. Saying that, Parkes isn’t a huge town Had to pay a deposit (a refundable bond against damages). I’m not sure that this is mentioned in the Hotels.com listing and I had to make a phone call to do this from an area with poor phone reception whilst on a driving trip. Positioned right on a major highway and only two streets from the railway line, we found this property to be extremely noisy. Traffic, including many heavy trucks, was consistent throughout day and night. It was difficult to get much sleep. The property itself was spacious, very well equipped, clean and tidy. However, in my opinion, all of this was outweighed by the perpetual traffic noise. This was the most highly rated and expensive of the properties available when we stayed, and yet I couldn’t recommend staying here unless you are impervious to noise.
