"The office staff were all very professional and friendly. My visit was due to flooding of my home from the Ohio river. I wasn’t informed until the evening of 4-3 that I needed to evacuate now, as the River was over the bank and would continue flooding the area. I haven’t driven at night time in 6-7 years, so the drive over to the hotel was extremely stressful for me. The hotel allowed my late arrival. "Ended up with hotel in Parkersburg, West Virginia after all hotels in Athens, Ohio were booked due to over 5000 students graduating from University of Ohio so friends and family of those students had booked all the rooms. My family members were staying in Ohio but was able to bring my Mother back to Holiday Inn and the difference between this luxurious hotel compared to where she was staying was night and day. "
