THE UNIQUE CHARM OF OLD PARIS
Posted 24-Apr-2016 on Hotels
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. It is small, intimate and extremely charming. The rooms have their original half-timbers, between which the walls are upholstered in beautiful toile fabric. Rooms are small, but just perfect for one person or a couple and are kept meticulously clean. The front desk is manned by genuinely wonderful people who are eager to help with anything you need, and speak fluent English if your French is a little iffy. There is a lovely little breakfast room, should you choose to eat at the hotel, a small but comfy lounge area, and a conference-room sort of area with a computer. There is free WiFi (in France, this is pronounced "wee fee"), and the 6th Arrondissement in which the hotel is located is the oldest part of Paris. The Seine and the Tuileries are just a few streets away as are the Boulevard St. Michel and the St. Germain de Pre, where you can shop for anything you might need. It is very much a "neighborhood." I will continue to stay here on future visits to Paris.
