Fantastic location, simple lodging
If you want a super location - close to bus and subway, local cafes, walking distance to squares and several museums, enjoyment of city buzz without tremendous traffic - consider this VRBO. It is not a fancy lodging, with a two-burner electric stove top and a tabletop microwave/convection oven for cooking, a small sink for dishwashing, but there are some positives. The washer/dryer works great, though we needed instruction more than once on how to use it, the shower is small but nice, the bed is very comfortable, the privacy shutters block out almost all light, and the closet is large. We did not use the TV - we’re in Paris…. why watch TV?? The VRBO owner/manager is very responsive, meeting us earlier than scheduled for check in. BTW, the French people, young and old, are very willing to help with directions, fun to talk with even though we do not speak French (many speak English), and their food and wine are excellent.

Enjoyed our stay
The place met our needs. It was clean, close to the metro, restaurants, and a market. We cooked our breakfast. And ate other meals throughout Paris. The bed was comfortable and with the shutters the room was dark. We had to set our alarms to keep us from sleeping in. We were there in April so the room temperature was fine. We slept with the shutters closed and the windows open and had really nice sleeps. Le Marais is a vibrant fun neighbourhood.

Well-appointed, quiet and perfectly located. Very much enjoyed this apartment. Had everything we needed and was within walking distance of great restaurants, bars, metro stops and a grocery store. Communication with owner was also great. Will book again next time we're in Paris.

Wonderful place to stay
Very comfortable bed. Very clean with everything we needed. Excellent communication with Olivier. He responded in minutes. Very safe and quiet. Very near grocery store and 3 metros and wonderful open air market on Sunday. Kitchen was well equipped but very small. Bathroom spacious.

Fabulous visit
We had a great time. Olivier was very very good with communication in advance as well as when we arrived. His colleague met us and gave us the keys and check-in orientation. The apartment was clean, the beds comfy, shower water pressure amazing and the nights quiet. There was ample storage (and hangers) for clothing. There are 3 cafes at the corner, a great restaurant almost outside the front door, and a metro stop super close. I would stay here again.

Perfect location for thrifting and everything else
The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed for every situation and temperature. It was in the perfect location for visiting Le Marais, using metro stations, and cooking our own meals. Olivier was kind and accommodating with our arrival circumstances. Fantastic experience.

It was in a great location for our needs! We used the subway to get everywhere, which we are used to in cities. The convenience to the Grocery Store and being able to cook really helped keep our stay cost-effective. The washer/dryer was also a great help! We would stay there again.

Excellent Value & Apartment
This was an excellent place to stay for what my wife and I wanted to do in Paris. We spent most days out exploring the sites and wonders so it was nice to have a comfortable & convenient space to come back to. I don’t think you can find better value then this apartment for what you pay. It’s on the second floor and looks just like the pictures in the ad. It has a comfortable bed, enough space for our suitcases, and a good bathroom. It does not have AC but it’s located in a place where it never gets direct sunlight and it comes with a big fan…so it stays relatively cool and comfortable. It has a view into a garden. We slept great due to how quiet it was. The location is ideal. Walking distance to the metro and also walking distance to most of the major sites in Paris. It’s surrounded by a lot of restaurants and bars. Lastly, there was a food market downstairs and around the corner for easy stuff like water, drinks, and snacks. The only issue we encountered which is easy to solve with advanced planning was the check in. We thought we had to meet in front of the apartment and didn’t have any wifi to message the owner so we waited for longer than we needed to. We ended up getting wifi at the market around the corner which is where we ended up meeting anyways. If you’re staying here, plan for on getting dropped off at the food market around the corner and meet there. There was a small homeless encampment nearby but they are harmless. It’s a friendly/safe neighborhood

The property is actually better than pictured. It has more room and the washer/dryer does not block the sink. The check in process has to be done by the owner who has to come with the key in person. Our train came in after 11 pm, and we had to pay him $45 cash in order to check in late. The unit has no ac, and we did get a little hot at night. There is a homeless encampment across the street, but it did not cause us any problems. There are a lot of great restaurants close by, and we enjoyed our stay here!

I enjoyed staying at this apartment/condo. It was clean and had everything that I needed. Location was great. It was right next to a grocery store and retaurants and shopping were just a block or two away. The host (Olivier) gave detailed instructions and also recommended restaurants and site seeing places. I enjoyed my stay here very much.

Location of apartment was great ended up being very close to a lot of the items on our visiting wishlist and the closeness to the grocery store was very convenient as well. Quiet enough neighborhood, only some houseless peoples encampments caught fire outside of our apartment at some time. 3 stars for check in because he didn't communicate or bother to check that half the plug/charging adapter things didn't work otherwise we would have bought one sooner, and when we asked him for just one extra that worked he told us the store was around the corner which is somewhat fair but for the price we pay he also could have easily went and provided us a cheap charger adapter as the Host. Also he failed to tell us about various days where the water might not work for hours at a time which happened to us upon waking up one day and it was pretty inconvenient not so much for it to happen, but to not know that ahead of time. Lastly, because he was late had us waiting outside Carrefour store in the rain which was a but frustrating because the host asked when we were landing, flight info and all only to not be on time. Washer and dryer was a great plus and the bed was comfortable despite the mattress being yellowed browned and disgusting. TV and Wi-Fi worked well. Kitchen amenities were all that we needed. Host was responsive despite the things prior mentioned that made the check-in 3 stars

The apartment was beautiful and well maintained. It was way better than a hotel would have been and the location was easily accessible by metro or bus. Olivier was very responsive and helpful. It was great having an option to do laundry as well. I would highly recommend this apartment for your stay in Paris.

Great location, quiet, just like the photos
Close to a number of transport links, quiet - like seriously quiet - no street noise, barely heard any neighbours. Washing machine has been upgraded to a washer/dryer. Make sure you go to Rue de Bretagne for the boulangerie/Cafe buzz. I would stay there again.

Good apartment off the beaten track
We liked our stay and good location close to 3 Metro stops we used. We also like to walk, Paris is a beautiful city for that. We did not mind the long walks to the tourist attractions. Only suggestion is to make sure the pots are able to be used on the stove, the stove was of a special kind and was difficult to use.

Cozy apartment in Paris
This a good apartment for 2 people. It’s cozy, clean, and roomy enough for your luggage. It has a balcony that opens out into the neighborhoods, and the balcony windows have metal shutters that come down to block out the light, which is very nice. We enjoyed our stay here, as well as our interaction with the host.

I loved this place! It was quiet, great location, had a nice view on the inner garden, the people in the building were very friendly, the unit is well equipped, the shower was great, the owner was very responsive (forgot my key in the unit once). And it was reasonably priced compared to my friend’s much smaller rental a few streets away in Le Marais. I would rent it again.

Marais great spot to stay
This property is nicely located, well equipped for in-home cooking, though the kitchen is very small. Everything worked including the washer/dryer, TV with Netflix, regular telephone with calling privileges, and a good shower and bathroom. It was clean and had a great refrigerator. Happily it is on the back of the building with a window that opens to a tree-filled courtyard and was always quiet. This is a great find!

Fantastic location and wonderful apartment!
We had a great stay for 7 nights. This apartment has a great location with a supermarket at the street level. walking distance to a few Metro stations - mainly Filles du Calvaire - and is surrounded by some great bars, bistros and cafes. The Italian Cafe at the end of the street was our favourite. Walking distance to the Picasso Museum. International plug converters were provided and kitchen basics like dishes, cutlery, can opener, coffee, a french press and yes, there was a wine opener! Great find - would definitely recommend and look forward to our next visit to Paris :)

Very small cramped quarters. Pictures give the sense of openess but the reality is different. Good location, manager was helpful and would be fine if you are a smaller than average person.

Oliver met us as we arrived and helped settling in . He told about the neighborhood and the best restaurant’s , were the public transit connections were , and the workings of the apartment . The apartment was very well appointed with all that’s necessary. This was one neighborhood that I have not explored and found it to be quite nice . Will stay here again .

Perfect location. Convenient, safe, quiet.
We came to Paris to see the sights & experience for the first time. It’s fast paced & a very accessible city. The Flat location was perfect for all we wanted and needed. Olivier was a very helpful host, communicated promptly. We enjoyed the use of the kitchen & supplies and appreciated plenty of clean linens and towels. The bed was very comfortable. Metro stops in either direction approx. a block or two away. We used the grocery market a few times, so convenient below the building. We enjoyed walking to the close brasseries & patisseries. It was an active party district on the weekends, but how the flat is positioned made it very quiet still. Saturday night we had a neighbor having a robust party late into the night -So bring ear plugs just in case. :) We used the Velib (app) rental bikes (green & blue bikes) daily. Google maps on our phone to guide us. It was average 15-20 min bike ride to any of the museums, monuments, churches, city shopping, etc. So enjoyable to travel around the city above ground & see the beauty! The city is made for bikes- all the streets have bike paths. If you use Velib bikes plan for time to find a bike parking stall near your destination. On weekends, or busy times, it’s hard to find a parking stall available. So plan plenty of time to find one and possibly walk a couple blocks to destination when it’s busy. If you want to go cheaper on cost, the metro is easily accessible everywhere. The street outdoor market in the Place de le Bastille (7min walk) was on Thursday & Sunday. Huge fresh food market, goods, and delicious lunch options freshly made. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Home Base
The apartment is well laid out and possesses all the comforts you need to feel at home. Bed is comfortable, shower pressure is great, and this is just an overall good find. Location made it easy to walk to everything we wanted to see. Oliver was very helpful and communicative. We have since moved on to other hotels in Paris and still find ourselves missing this one!

Little gem in heart of Marais!
We found the property bijou and a perfect pied a terre for our visit. The metro was a stones throw away , as were the local shop and heaps of restaurants and bars close by after a long days going round the galleries.

Great place!
I stayed at the apartment for the month of Feb 2020. It's as pictured - small but comfortable, with a really comfy bed. The neighborhood is fine and I always felt very safe, but also the apt has a fob to get in the outside gate, then into the building, then into the elevator or stairs, and then a key to get into the apartment itself. There's a great grocery store on the ground floor of the building and good restaurants in all directions. Santa Maria is just south on the next block - it has a diningroom as well as great takeout out pizza and pasta. Bakery and patisserie Dupain is around the corner on Beaumarchais as is a metro stop, concept store Merci and other shops. The Marais is just beyond. I cooked a few times - there were plenty of pans, plates, etc, and a few spices and some tea. There was great water pressure in the sink and shower. The washer/dryer should not be used as a selling point - the tiny washer was okay but the dryer function heated my clothes too hot to touch, yet they were still dripping wet. I had two minor maintenance issues during the month, and landlord Olivier cared for them both within a couple of hours. This place was a great price and a great place to stay. I would definitely stay again and recommend it highly!

Covers most of the bases
To use an American baseball metaphor, the apartment is as advertised and described by previous visitors. It is quiet which is a major plus, the shower works well, bed is comfortable and there is enough space. It is showing some wear and tear, the closet door doesn't glide open, the cooking shelfspace and pans are subpar, etc. but these are relatively minor issues overall. The location was good as I was able to walk to the Bastille Opera for two performances, and easy Metro or even walking to other nearby attractions. The washer wasn't working when I arrived but kudos to the owner for getting it fixed before my departure. Overall seems like a safe area but not the nicest in the immediate neighborhood, in my opinion. Great coffee at Boots just down the street, by the way.

Perfect Parisian getaway
We loved this property. It had a perfect location with 2 different metro stops around the block, a secure building, and cafes and stores outside your door. It was quiet for sleeping, and the large window allows for good air flow (there was a heat wave while we were there). This makes a great short term rental with the kitchen and washer/dryer. It was perfect for our stay in Paris! I wish this had self entry, but the building uses a key fob system which does make it very easy for entering, which is nice. Prime location, good amenities, a clean place! We would definitely stay here again when we return!

Quiet, nice, convenient Paris base
No frills, but a nice, quiet, secure and affordable place. Overlooks a quiet spot of greenery, hard to call a garden, but with a tree and greenery which helps keep the place cool (we were there during the heat wave of 114 degrees and didn't suffer! Kitchen and bathroom a little outdated but all workable. Its small but enough for two people.
