Great weekend in Paris

Posted 23-Oct-2015 on Hotels
3 night weekend break in the centre of Paris. Plenty of restaurants, bars and coffee shops nearby. Great for getting around the centre of Paris as the underground was 300 metres away. Although the hotel is basic and in need of a refurb, it was excellently located, clean and staff extremely friendly and informative. Would stay there again- no probs.

Basic clean rooms

Posted 06-Oct-2015
Cons: The Internet and a little fridge in the room
Location: The hotel is within walkin distance to Gare de l' Est rail station .The area is surrounded by resturants and easy acess to the Hop on Hop off bus.
The rooms are clean and modern but i really missed having a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities in the room The Internet would not connect in the room even after getting help from management and the only way i could have internet was in the foyer or lounge room. I was not the only person using the louge room for the same reason and only one connection per room

171 euros la nuit pour un hotel classique. Cafetiere dans le chambre sans café, petit dejeuner assez limité. Assez décue du rapport qualité prix

Get to know the real Paris

Posted 27-Sep-2015 on Hotels
I love the 9th and this hotel is in an ideal location for exploring the real Paris with a great metro hub at Gare de l'Est, a market just round the corner that sells some great cheese as well as a few bars and cafes.

Hotel ok but area full of junkies.

Posted 20-Sep-2015 on Hotels
Hotel was OK for a 3☆ and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is about 5 min walk from Gare du Nord station and only a few minutes walk from the nearest metro but the local area is full of homeless people and drug addicts. Although we were not hassled by them it was not very pleasant having to walk past them while they took drugs. They were even doing it on the stairs in the nearby metro station. Never again.

Handy to main railway stations.

Handy to Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord stations for getting in and out of the city and using the metro. Reasonable value for money given Paris prices.

Poor mgt

Posted 07-Sep-2015 on Hotels
Reservation was lost but eventually found, not without causing a long moment of stress and freak out. Service was terrible at check in, lady asked me three times if I was sure I had a reservation even after I showed her confirmation number. She claimed Expedia never sent her the details, we were told nothing of the area and we were NEVER told that breakfast was not included. It was only upon check out we were told we had to pay 8 euro each for breakfast every morning, which consisted of stale bread, warm yogurt, warm milk, and mediocre cereal. If we had know we would have bought a nice bakery sandwich for literally half the cost!!

Bom, mas não voltaria

Posted 04-Sep-2015 on Hotels
