If it were not for a bad incidence, my rating would have been better. We arrived at 11:30 pm and called ahead. The hotel door was locked. We stood outside for about 15 minutes, calling the hotel number and ringing the bell, to no avail. Finally the receptionist arrived claiming he had to make his round. The hotel manager's response was unsatisfactory. He claimed we waited "a few" minutes. Fifteen minutes is a lot! Fortunately it was not raining. His propsed solution to the problem - putting a sign on the door - was unsatisfactory as a sign would only prevent us from calling the police in this situation. Have they not heard of call forwarding to the receptionist? Such a shame because the lication is great and the other staff people were nice.
