Terrible Hotel Miss Sold
This Hotel should never have been sold to us. It was clear as soon as we arrived that the hotel was being renovated, dust sheets everywhere and a strong smell of paint. There was only one member of staff at anyone time in the hotel. We entered our room through the bathroom!! Something I've never experienced before, not only disorientating but, potentially embarrassing. The room was in very poor condition with chipped glass shelves, a broken light fitting, bent metal shelving unit, lights not working properly behind bathroom mirror, chipped and flaky paintwork and a dirty rug.
Breakfast was a farce, 10 euros for a very flimsy, small metal tray with a basket selection of very low quality croissants, bits of bread, a couple of very low quality yogurts and tea and coffee. no plate for the bread, one very full but very small tray between two and nowhere to sit and eat it. Breakfast in bed, or rather, all over the bed.... Wifi didn't work at all for the whole 3 days we were there. So we couldn't use the net to plan anything, we had to ask the guy on the desk to book tickets for us on their computer. We wasted a lot of time and money making mistakes on the Metro. On the day we left, the fire alarm went off for no apparent reason, and the already chaotic lobby, filled with the heady smell of wet paint, gathered bewildered guests in various states of dress, to be ushered back to their rooms, some of whom had left their rooms with out keys..... More chaos.
