Excellent emplacement, petit déjeuner varié.

Posted 26-Jul-2016

Nice, clean and easy as a base for exploring Paris

Posted 09-Jun-2016
Pros: Quiet, clean, simple and exactly what you want in a hotel that you're not going to spend much time at. The room decoration was "modern" and small-ish
Cons: The price of the breakfast is a little steep for the choices offered. However it is very convenient and everything offered was fresh and delicious.
Location: Place de la Bastille, Place de la Republique, Pere Lachaisse Cemetary are a few of the more touristy options. Otherwise, just LIVE here like a local
Great overall experience with this hotel! In traditional European hotel style compared to the American standard, the place is somewhat small - but that's okay! The hotel staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful, everything was clean and orderly, and the overall feel was rather quiet. This part of Paris is less tourist focused than other parts, and walking out from the hotel you can tell that year-round Parisiens live nearby and are the majority of this local population. The hotel does offer a breakfast for an additional price per person everyday (it's ok, but we preferred a local cafe). The main avenue closest to the hotel offers plenty of local cafes, brasseries, charcuteries, and fresh produce on the open street. There are convenient "pharmacies" nearby to help you purchase those small items that are inevitably forgotten in packing (sunscreens, headache medicines, allergy remedies, etc.). There are also quite a few small clothing shops with a variety of styles and prices nearby to help you augment your wardrobe with real french attire if you packed for weather that didn't end up happening as you planned. Several main intersections and locations are easily within 15 minutes walking, where you can catch major bus routes and metro stops to connect to the rest of the city. Taxi's are very easy to find on the main street nearby. For example, taking a taxi from the hotel all the way to the Eiffel Tower on the complete opposite side of the city ran me about 18.50 euro.

Small Room but Clean

Posted 02-Jun-2016
Pros: Location, staff, near to tube station.
Cons: Storage Space
Location: The Express Bar is the place to eat and drink. It is 200 yards away and is run by english / french and australians. It has happy hours and food is ver
Stayed in Room 605, very clean room but very cramped. Bathroom needs more storage shelving (There is none) so that you can put out your toiletries. Staff are very good, rooms very quiet generally a very pleasing stay.

Nice staff, clean hotel, tiny rooms

Posted 26-May-2016
My husband and I stayed at the Gardette Park hotel for 10 days (May2016). First off, let me say that the staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean. They offer breakfast every morning for 9€ (cereal, croissants, coffee, nothing fancy). The hotel is located in a working class part of Paris (11 Arr). It is a little far from the tourist attractions (we ubered everywhere) about 20+ minutes to most things. The first thing we noticed is that the entire neighborhood was riddled with graffiti. Kind of an eye sore. The rooms are tiny. Like smaller than a dorm room. The toilet was between the small shower and the wall so it made using the bathroom uncomfortable.
