the hotel is a cliff type one with pretty view on the sea. Overall is clean, a little far from the island center. so anytime you want to go go out, you need call a taxi. Hotel has a taxi transfer on demand but a bit expensive than outside taxi, and need to pay cash. the room was quite clean and big. the downsides: bathroom has no fan, phone (even to front desk) not working and not fixed until we left. Their onsite restaurant was good, good food, good service. you can have sunset view while you are eating there. The heated pool was a big plus. when I was there around May 4, weather was cold. so I didn't use it much. I didn't have time to try their spa.

About 15 minutes from the airport we arrive at Desiterra resort, located on the east side of the island, a tranquil beautiful spot directly overlooking the sea. Stunning views of other islands of Anafi and Amorgos. The dawn sunrise is simply breathtaking my advice is get up witness it even if you have to go back to bed. The resort is a 5 minute walk along the beach to a lovely little cafe restaurant by the local harbour again amazing for sunrise. If you are a runner the roads are reasonably safe this time of year. Get that dawn run done. The resort is isolated but for us that was perfect the resort runs a shuttle bus dependent on your activities and budget it's this or a hire car. The resort will organise the hire for you but you can get better deals. We hired a car and have litterly been everywhere. We stayed in The blue monkey, (wall painting from ancient akrotiri) traditional vaulted ceiling villa tiled throughout. Air-conditioning hot and cold, walk in shower with rain shower and hand shower. The bed is situated on a mezzanine overlooking the lounge kitchen area. The kitchen is well appointed kettle coffee machine (illy iperespresso) odd pods. You can buy locally but room service give you two daily. The cleaners are meticulous in their attention to detail. Staff are fantastic Sandesh thankyou. 5 star all of the staff

The breakfast was tailor made and nourishing

We loved everything about our stay. We were welcomed by Chris, one of the hosts,, who explained the island to us, recommended come activities, and even arranged, transportation and reservations. Zoe was also excellent. They treated us like VIP from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. It was an amazing experience and when we will never forget.
