"It was our first time to the Island. We were intrigued by the price. Significantly less than other resorts. It’s centrally located allowing easy access to the north or south parts of the island. "Our first trip to Kaua’i was to The Tranquility Blue Bungalow, a beachfront property with stunning views. We had hoped to spot local wildlife, but in addition what we discovered was that the beauty of Kaua’i is indescribable.Nestled off the beaten path, the bungalow offered privacy. Every day, we were treated to the sight of monk seals swimming and galumphing across the rocks. Turtles bobbed in the bay, and the locals marked their nesting spots with driftwood and signs. On our final day, we were fortunate enough to witness the playful spinner dolphins.We embraced the tropical atmosphere by waking up early and savoring every meal outdoors, soaking in the breathtaking surroundings. The warm, soft sand and the crystal-clear, turquoise-blue water. The landscaping around the bungalow was a masterpiece of its own with flowering trees, cozy nooks with tables and chairs, a fire ring and hammocks under the gazebo.The bungalow itself was charming and provided a comfortable space for preparing meals and resting. However, we found ourselves spending most of our time outside. Hawaii is the tropics and we weren’t looking for a resort so expect bugs, geckos, toads, snails and chickens. More wildlife. Our hosts were incredibly personal, warm, and friendly, making our stay truly memorable.We would enjoy a return to Kaua’i and to this specific spot."

"It was a beautiful home in a perfect location. We were there with our kids and grandkids and loved having the separate space above the garage with its on mini kitchen and bathroom for one family and the separate bedroom and bath for another couple. Everyone had some personal space and the great room, kitchen and front and back patios had plenty of room when we all got together."

"This property is fantastic. It is only steps away from the water and the snorkeling is good, especially at high tide. The fish are plentiful and I even encountered a turtle. If you are interested in a long walk on the beach, that is available. Water shoes are encouraged for an even longer walk. The interior has all of the comforts of home, with the exception of AC. At night, it is encoraged to open the windows and enjoy the ocean breeze. You will find delight at this location, which is convenient to Princeville and Kapa'a."

"The location and grounds are extraordinary -- a quick walk to the beach (be careful of the rips, it's only safe to swim on the sides of the beach); stunning vegetation - so many fruit trees! The porch is where we spent most of our time, playing cards on the dining table or lounging in the hammock. It was a perfect stay for our family of six to gather in relaxation and surrounded by nature. As others have noted, the home could use a bit of love and a deep clean, but realize that living in the tropics is a huge challenge! The kitchen could use an inventory review as some basics were missing, but overall, these issues were very minor given the memorable experience the property afforded our family . . . thank you!"

"Lots of bedrooms, bathrooms for each bedroom, flexible floor plan , nice seating and decorations, fully functional kitchen. The ground around the house were fantastic beautiful. Beach was awesome and snorkeling was exciting. The river shoes and snorkeling gear and beach toys were wonderful! The concierge service did a great job. Darshan guided us and managed our activities very efficiently.TheHost to the house was generally helpful. Fortunately there were no breakdowns or surprises. There were a couple times the response time was slow. Management flexibility was perhaps guided by tight maintenance schedules but we tried to check in early and on the other end tried to extend our stay for a couple days when the schedule for the house was available but met denial on both accounts. At the price for the stay seems like there should have been more cooperation. These items didn’t effect the quality of the trip and everything turned out fine."

"The home was good overall. The location is very convenient for getting around the island, and the hosts were responsive and left some nice goodies for us at check-in. The house itself feels a bit dated and worn, with an unusual layout. The main living space is upstairs, which includes the kitchen, living room, dining area, deck with jacuzzi, and the primary bedroom/bathroom. One challenge is that the only TV and bathroom on this level are located inside the primary bedroom, so access requires going through the bedroom or heading downstairs. The private deck off the primary bedroom wasn’t usable as had no furniture and was dirty. The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and utensils. The living room setup was less comfortable; the couch had very thin cushions and sat quite low to the ground, and without a TV in that area, it wasn’t ideal for gathering and relaxing but it did have a very nice view of the ocean.The remaining bedrooms are located downstairs. The sofa beds are in the theater room, which felt a bit cramped, and this room is situated at the back of the house without an ocean view."

"Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a good time at Kealia Landing house. The house suited our needs just fine: three bedrooms each with their own bath for three adult couples vacationing together. The lanai and kitchen served us well. The fresh ocean breeze coming through the big windows and doors was so nice. Only a few items for maintenance or to address: we would suggest having gutters cleaned since they filled with rain water and overflowed because of debris in them. All door and window hardware need maintenance since they were hard to open and close at times. The path to the beach is very steep and the lower section is virtually invisible. You have to bushwhack through the grasses to the trail/walking path below. We would suggest knocking down the grasses so a distinct path is visible from house to trail. Be careful with the beach below the house. Towards the life guard stand is the better area. The area below the house and closer to the breakwater has many unhoused people living in cars and tents. Unsightly and at times, smelled :("
