Great Housekeeping Lady

"Housekeeping lady was nice. I was not feeling well and the lady from housekeeping left me a get well-note after she cleaned the room. Gave me more bottles of water and ask me to hydrate myself in her message. She must have seen the medication on the table. "

"Inexpensive option for an airport layover, but that is all. Rooms are tiny to the absurd. The hotel provides only one key that activates the lights/AC per room. Families are noisily banging on doors, or keeping them open. Prayers noisily wake up at 3:30 AM, join the prayers at 4:15 AM, come back laughing out loud, until sometime mid morning. Breakfast is a "Ready to Eat" frozen meal that you have to microwave yourself. Expedia customers have to pay 100.000 and 80.000 for the shuttle out and in of Soekarno. The surrounding area is noisy with traffic, no sidewalk, un-walkable unless you love to be spilled with mud. Staff are ok, but the management for whom they work do not make their jobs easier. "

Gold Coast PIK Bahama Sea View Apartments

STAY AWAY

"I don't usually review properties, but in this case I feel it's my duty to share what I experienced. Check in took 1 hour as there's no check in desk, but you're supposed to contact an "agent" (some guy called Steven Gunawan) who asks you to deposit 500 ribu to his bank account in order to guide you through a treasure hunt to collect the keys of the room. Once we got the keys, the water in the shower was cold (you need to switch on something, but of course you have to figure it out yourself), the towels felt like plastic and didn't dry you (perhaps because new and never washed) and there were only 2 of them. There were also several ants in the bathroom. Pak Steven hasn't returned the deposit yet after 1 week despite promising to do so within 2 days. Property has a nice balcony and view, that earns 1 star instead of zero. STAY AWAY!"

"The Gold Coast apartment is good. Clean and comfortable. I especially like the location, which is about 20 mins from airport. Unfortunately, I had problems upon checkout. After informing the agent a couple of days earlier that i wanted to check out at 9am, receiving the agent's acknowledgement, i waited at least 45 mins on last day without any person coming to take over the room as well as to refund my cash deposit. As i had a flight to catch, I deposited the access card and key to the letter box. Currently, I'm still owed the cash deposit."
