An excellent choice when staying in old town, Panama City, Panama. The staff was exceedingly friendly, taking the time and effort to know you personally, as well as ready to offer advice and assistance. They genuinely wanted guests to enjoy their vacation. Perfect location near the bay, within walking distance of many fine restaurants and local plazas, it was the former home of one of Panama's Vice Presidents. The Villa Palma Boutique Hotel offered simple elegance and a warm atmosphere, making our stay quite comfortable.

Loved this spot. It is close to everything, great location. The room was gorgeous and very spacious. We slept the best here and we travelled around Panama a lot. The restaurant in the lobby is absolutely delicious, some of the best food we had in Panama as well. Would stay here again!

This is a great place to stay in Old Town. Super location. Beautiful rooms, professional and helpful staff all speaking English, good restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooftop hot tub was a fabulous way to spend a later afternoon. Rommel is a wealth of information at the front desk.

This is an old villa in a prime location in Casco, the old town of Panama City. You're steps away from the waterfront and surrounded by restaurants and shops. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful- we felt so incredibly welcome. Our room (2004) was quite small with a low ceiling and a few maintenance issues, which at a $180 rate you may not expect. Still, our stay was very enjoyable. I would overall rate this a 4-star experience.

This is a really nice restored hotel. We were upgraded to a suite with a tricky staircase, headed in, but the room was spacious and lovely.

Exceptional service!
Reception Gentlemen went above and beyond checking me in, gave me an upgrade, and personally checked the room to make sure it was perfect. It was late and the restaurant was v closed, but somehow he delivered me the most delicious Caesar salad room service! The rock wall inside was gorgeous, rain-shower head water flow was spa like, and the balcony safe and beautiful views!

Home Away From Home
The entire staff makes you feel welcome. It really feels like they are welcoming you into their home. It is a small hotel. You leave your key on the desk when you leave and it is there for you when you return. But if you get to know the staff as we did you will give them your full trust that all is well while you are away. Our room was very comfortable and super quiet. The beds are comfortable and rooms is clean.

We were disappointed in the cleanliness
The breakfast was wonderful as were the food and drinks at the restaurant. The room however had a barely working air conditioner so the room was damp and stuffy. The floor was filthy and turned our bare feet black. There was no top sheet - only a too heavy duvet. We asked several times for a top sheet for our second night stay and did not get one.

Great hotel, fantastic location and view!
My wife and I stayed at the Villa Palma Hotel for six days during our trip to Panama City. Our room was spacious and comfortable. It was charming to see a spiral staircase in our room leading up to a second level with a private bathroom and dressing area. It made us feel as if we were in a cozy 2-level apartment. Watching the sunrise over the Pacific Ocean from our balcony every morning was an amazing way to start our day. The hotel is located in Casco Viejo (San Felipe) right by the water with easy access to restaurants and bars. Very friendly and hospitable staff as well. We will definitely be back!

The best Hotel in Panama City
An amazing hotel beautifully decorated, located in San Felippe (Casco Viejo) with a rooftop viewing the nearby ocean and the Skyline of Panama City with a hot tab. A great team of friendly and efficient personnel, a great bar with a professional barman to prepare your favorite cocktails, and a restaurant! Free parking lot in front of the hotel (Each day from 4 pm to 12 am and during the weekends from 6 am to 12 am - after you can easily find a parking spot nearby) Each room is decorated differently.Comfortable bed,well-equipped super stylish room with Nespresso machine and great balconies. My favorite in Panama City! A must on each visit to Panama! This time We spent there 8 days there (4 plus another 4 after traveling to Portobelo) and enjoyed staying in 2 different rooms. Highly recommended!

We had a room in the back overlooking a childrens play school, so good luck if you want to sleep in in the morning. Also the shower hardly had any pressure and hot water literally took 10 minutes to arrive. The location is fantastic.

When we arrived, the staff were so attentive and helpful. I wish I could remember the man’s name, because he was amazing. We stayed one night on a lay over. We wished we had more time because we were blown away by the beautiful hotel, the room, the nice wine we took up to the roof top and the surrounding cafes and views the next day. We did a Panama tour and had monkeys jumping in our boat! What a wonderful 24 hours! I highly recommend the charm and service of this beautiful hotel.

The staff were great and friendly. Love the openness and the dining options. The room was interesting. very large and beautiful. Great bed and space galore. Only 16 rooms in this restored building with a great view from the roof. my room was up tight stairs after second level, so light luggage needed. Casco Viejo is so walkable, so many restaurants and the place to stay. As this hotel does not have a rooftop bar, not so noisy as others and being close to the ocean also helped. Only issue was very cold air conditioner, but needed with the heat out.

We could not have chosen a better location. Villa Palma exceeded our expectations. With only 14 rooms, it was quiet and intimate. The staff knew our names and greeted us personally each day. From the moment we checked in, Sain, José, Lissury and Romel made sure we had everything we needed each day! Each meal we ate at Lumiere was fabulous. Maria and Melissa were attentive in the restaurant and very friendly!! The hotel is very close to France Square and several stores and restaurants & is very walkable to most sites in Casco. Uber is easy to get when visiting places further away. The hotel and rooms have a lot of charm. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Wonderful property with spacious rooms. The room I was a loft second floor apartment with a spiral staircase. The room is well appointed with expansive windows that bring in great sunlight. One small possible issue for some maybe that the shower/bath needs a step to get into and it would be nice to provide for those who may need. Most people will probably not have a problem. Sain and the staff were not only professional, knowledgeable but kind. They sincerely wanted my stay to be not just pleasurable but kind. They represent want I came to learn about Panamá and it's people. The breakfast was great as well. Everything is within walking distance. Casco Viejo/San Felipe is the place to be in Panamá City. Wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, the museum of the Panama Canal are wishing 5 minute walks. Highly recommend!!!

Great safe area! You get a little bit of everything from shopping, fine dining, great bars, and clubs! All the staff are so helpful and have great recommendations! You can literally walk everywhere or Uber! Taxes will cost triple the price.

Oozing elegance and style, this hotel in Casco Viejo has been beautifully and sympathetically renovated. The rooms are sumptuous and comfortable, the food at Lumiere restaurant delicious and the cocktails delightful. Every single member of staff is welcoming. I only stayed here for one night, but wished I could have stayed for far longer. It won't be the only time that I visit both Panama and the Villa Palma.
