The pool & bar were good, The view both day & night was great.
The hotel is located near to the malls and other places of interest. The surrounding area was not so sophisticated but I appreciated the large supermarket close by. I didn’t have much problem with noise which was limited mainly to the motor vehicles traversing the road. Taking the uber was easy and cost effective. My room was very clean and I got room service every day. I really appreciated the ladies who took care of the room, the were very professional and courteous. The lobby staff were helpful and professional. Check in and check out was very easy. The breakfast served was very delicious every morning.
Pros: Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good.
Cons: hot water wasn't hot it barely got to lukewarm and TV never worked even when they sent someone to check on it. Ended up using my own accounts.
The hotel is decent and for the price not bad. The neighborhood is a little dicey and I don’t recommend walking around the hotel. Service was nice, rooms were comfy, breakfast was included. There was hot water some of the time, no hairdryers available, but overall a really good deal. It’s central to everything if you take uber.
The Pool has amazing Views. Shower has hot water, free Wi-Fi.

Hotel Caribe is an older hotel in Panama City in a convenient location that is very close to must see areas. The metro (bus and train) and lots of taxis close by and reliable. Supermarket one block away and 24hrs. Most staff are friendly however most don't speak English so difficult to communicate. One staff member spoke English, and he was extremely courteous and friendly. He made us feel comfortable. One staff member at the front door with a bald head was rude and impolite. He had no manners and not friendly at all. Housekeeping and front desk were friendly and helpful.
Because it is an older hotel that are no modern comforts like a refrigerator or microwave in the hotel rooms. Also, the rooms have older air-condition units, make noise, but it is not overbearing. However, there is hot water so that was good and also an elevator which moves a bit slow but still reliable.
This experience is still disturbing to me: our toilet got clogged and the impolite staff member came up to unclog it with the plunger. After he unclogged it, I heard him put on the shower and I am assuming he cleaned the plunger that was just in the toilet with toilet paper and human waste in the shower area. Then he calls my son into the bathroom and I come as well and he is like "Mister, no put any paper in the toilet put toilet paper you use in waste basket". He then proceeds to take the hotel hand we are using to wash his hands. I went to supermarket bought cleaning supplies and cleaned up
My wife and I always have an enjoyable stay at the Hotel Caribe.
The room is very nice, large, and cleaned daily.
The staff is very friendly, courteous, helpful and professional.
We will continue to stay at the Hotel Caribe on our trips to Panama City.
Thank you.
Decent hotel, friendly staff the room was dated basic water pressure was not great but ok. Redeemable qualities breakfast was great best to get it included, decent pool size on the roof top and get a nice view of the city beautiful night view of the city. Not glamorous but if affordable is what you looking for it’s good for the price. Location not great at night to walk around but daytime no problem.
Hotel Carib is our favorite place to stay in Panama City
Friendly staff, roof top pool, and sunset dinners.
Big beds, clean rooms, and even a small fridge if you ask for one.
Free breakfast and a welcome aboard cocktail at the pool bar
It's right across the street from a 5 floor department store and supermarket.
El Machetazo for all your shopping needs.
We'll always keep coming back.

Every time my wife and I are in Panama City, we always stay at the Hotel Caribe.
We are happy to spend our time there with such a friendly staff.
Priscilla, at the front desk, knew we were coming, and had a refrigerator all ready waiting for us in our room. How cool was that.
The bellmen team of Dioneil and Weeber are top knotch, helping with luggage, getting ice, and always opening the front door with a friendly hello, and how are you.
The free breakfast is great with coffee, fruit , pancakes and eggs.
So must better that just coffee, and a donut.
We also enjoy the roof top pool, it's view of the City, and Pacific Ocean.
There is a restaurant up there. With good food, friendly service, and a free welcome cocktail.
All in all, the Caribe is a great place to stay while in the City for medical appointments and shopping.
The is a 5 floor Department Store, the Machetazo with a supermarket across the street that's open 24 hours. Perfect for late night necessaties.
We are looking forward to our return to the City and the Hotel Caribe in August, for another 5 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ stay.
Thanks .
This is a nice budget hotel. It is about a 20min walk to Casco Viejo. However, the area surrounding it is ghetto. Im 6ft and 260lbs so i didnt run into any issues. There were quite a few homeless people in the area with lots of garbage on the streets. Dont be surprised if you see people actively using narcotics or prosititutes in the area. Aside from all of that, its about a 5 min walk to the main promenade. There is a loveoy bakery close by, lots of fruit stalls and a chewp supermarket. Lots of other street stalls close to buy clothes, hats, things like that. The staff were 10/10 for sure. Thr included breakfast is small but itll get you by for a couple hours. The rooftop pool is amazing. The blast the music very loud, i had to ask them to turn it down so i could actually relax and read a book and they were quite receptive to it. Overall id likely return as the price is right and its close to what i need.
The staff were top notch! Super helpful & nice, especially Javier, he spoke good enough English & was extremely helpful. We stayed for a night & I enjoyed my stay, I would stay here again. Upon arrival we got complementary cocktails. We walked across the street to a large supermarket & was able to get phone chargers, water and snacks. We also purchased hot dogs & juice from the street vendors outside, it was a great local experience for us. We later had dinner at the hotel, the food was bomb! Definitely a 9/10 (fish & plantains with salad). The hotel offers breakfast for free for 2 & although breakfast starts serving at 7am, we were able to get breakfast before we leave at 5:30. We had to-go plates waiting for us at front desk with our room number on it. We were very appreciative and we look forward to staying here again when we visit Panama. The only negative for me is the neighborhood isn’t the best kept, the rooms we paid for was suppose to have 2 Queen beds but we only had 1 twin & 1 double, I didn’t complain, we just took it since we got complimentary drinks & free breakfast & we didn’t expect that. Also, I was hoping the room had a fridge & it didn’t but we weren’t there that long, it was just an overnight. We stayed for a layover flight in Panama.

I feel bias doing this review, but I think it is important to let people know.
If you are considering this hotel, there are few things I would like to share.
-The place is clean, and basic, very basic.
-Breakfast is good with 5-7 -choices.
-If you are traveling from a very cold place like me, you feel dehydrated all the time. There are not ice machines avaliables. You need to ask for ice water every time. They will bring it.
-There are no coffeemakers, neither minibars. If you are a heavy coffee drinker, they do not have coffee makers. I have to buy a mini one just for these days.
They provided a minibar when I asked.
If you ask front desk for something, they try hard to help you.
Also, be aware...When I checked out, the lady said that my towels had a stain. This was possible because I had removed my make.up the night before with the towel. The receptionist said that I had to pay for them. I refused explained that those stains were makw up that will be washed out ofter washing. Thw receptionist wanted $30.00! I told her that I was not paying that p
Much.
She said ahe needed to charge $$30.00
I got upset, thats outrageous, I did not have money for that since I only had to pay the taxi.
I told her you have my card info you can charge them there. She said it needed to be cash.
I told her I was not pating that much and left.

The welcoming by the receptionist staff was was underwhelming. They did not even provide me with a wifi password. The wifi was very slow. I was barely able to call and secure an uber. If you need to do work, this is not the place to stay for that! On the good aspects, the bed was great. I had a good sleep. While the building is dated, is needing maintenance and care
