Beach Vacation

Condo listed was as described and in a great location in the complex. The team was responsive to our questions. A few things I would recommend that others consider.Parking in the garage was terrible-we had to travel in a circle up/down 8 stories of the garage to get to our parking area. Coming and going with as large a complex as this one-took 20-30 minutes to go anywhere. Fortunately, Walmart was across the street so I opted to walk a couple of times to get needed supplies/food so I didnt have to get the car out of the parking garage. The elevators were a nightmare-only one working when we arrived so going to/from the beach was also very time consuming. We tracked down 8 flights of stairs (with and infant, 6yo,and beach stuff) the majority of the trip and waited 20-30 minutes minimum to go up the elevators. I would not recommend using a wagon-we opted not to use ours because it was almost impossible to get on the elevator with a wagon and family. There is construction going on at the complex, painting so those construction workers vehicles tied up many of the yellow line (extra parking for your 2nd car) parking spaces. Last, the beach was very busy. Plan to be up by 6am to set up any chairs/tents to be near the water if you have children. There were families with tents set up before daylight and set up 4-5 tents in a row next to the water. In previous complexes that we stayed in, the tents were not allowed unless behind the complex chairs.

Awesome vacation

This was our third year at Panama City beach for a summer vacation and our first at shores of Panama. I can’t find any reason to stay anywhere else in the future. It had everything on site. Loved the memories we made.

Overall great!!! Areas for improvement: more elevators More pools or pool chairs Our condo was initially impressive!! Wanted to report the following: We arrived to all dirty dishes. We ran them all through the dishwasher and realized it’s not working properly and so we assumed that the last groups dishes were put away without cleaners noticing they weren’t clean. We did run ours when we left too! 😉 Needs newer bed pilllows for sure. Coffee table isn’t stable, it’s wobbly.

The unit we had is old, needs an update and good cleaning. If you take your shoes off the bottom of your feet or socks are black in seconds. Need better house keeping. The kitchen is not stocked well at all. It has one cereal bowl. If you wanted to eat in you would have to rearrange furniture just to sit at the dining table. Again needs updating. The parking garage is a nightmare, plan on it taking 15 to 20 minutes to get in and out when you are leaving the condo. It is so tight vehicles are constantly having to stop and back up to make corners. The elevators or lack of are a joke for this size complex. Plan on waiting 15 to 20 minutes to use these.The unit says it sleeps 10, we were a party of 7. The balcony is so small we wouldn't all fit at one time, only 5 chairs . The pool looks nice on the advertisement. It is so crowded you can't get chairs . The pool water was also dirty. You have to wear arm bands at all times which we are used to however these are not the slip on and off kind. They have rfd chips inside to get in and out gates. They heavily police for these. I would not recommend Shores of Panama. It was definitely not worth what we paid $. We have been going to PCB for over 25 years and this is by far the most uncomfortable place . We have staid at several different condos and this is the first bad review I have ever given.

Family trip

We brought our adult children with our younger. The owner was great. The pool and views was awesome. There was plenty to cook with and accessories big enough for a large family. Of course the ocean was awesome too!

The condo was just as described!! The property was very clean & staff were very friendly. Only negative was the extremely large group of teenagers that congregated on the beach in front of the complex that had massive amount of police present d/t teenagers being unruly. Would stay again just not at spring break .

First time in PCB

We loved this condo and the location. The condo was beautiful, exactly as pictured. The wraparound patio was amazing and had lots of seating! The beds were very comfortable. The access to the parking garage was wonderful and access to the beach was very easy. It was so nice to check in and out without ever dealing with hotel staff. We will definitely be back!!

Nice Unit - Needs Improvement

Several things didn’t work (tv in front bedroom, broken recliner that I actually fell out of, lights above dining table would not come on). Unit was not clean. After we saw a mouse and started investigating there was food from previous stays under the couch and under a table in the dining area. There was food stuck to the floor from previous stays. The bedspreads had not been washed in a while. I give it an objective 3 overall. Expensive for the level of amenities

We enjoyed our stay in unit 801. Parking was great, right by the room. The unit was nice and clean and had everything we needed for a 1 week stay. Cons: The pillows aren't the best, bring your own. The icemaker doesn't work. The dining area lights didn't work.

Not our best stay

Pros: great location, beautiful view, communication with management company was good. Cons: on our fifth day we had a cockroach in one of the bathrooms, there is not enough silverware or cups for our group of 7, there was a broken glass in the cabinet, the bed sheets were covered in sand which we had to wash before we could sleep in the beds, the floors were filthy. Our feet were black and disgusting just from walking through the condo, the closet doors wouldn’t open all the way without coming off the track, there was old popcorn and small toys behind the nightstands and under the beds in the bunk room. Honestly I don’t think the condo is cleaned between uses it doesn’t even seem possible for it to be that dirty. Make sure to bring every last essential item. There is absolutely no cleaning supplies, seasonings except the salt and pepper we left there, there was no spatula, the knives all have completely bent blades. For the cost I feel like the very basic essential kitchen items should be there. Overall we will not stay at this specific condo again but we would stay at this complex again.

Pros and Cons

Pros: easy checkin and checkout process Great communication Large space and kitchen The outside pool is spacious and pretty View of the ocean and beach from balcony was great/pretty Close vicinity to shops and food When needed, maintenance & housekeeping responded quickly Beds were pretty comfortable Unit had everything we needed Cons: Floor was dirty, not just sandy as that happens at the beach but even first day, feet would be blackened from the floor. The dishes in cabinet were dirty. We had to wash the dishes before using them. Linens and pillow in one of the rooms were dirty with pee/blood stain and makeup and some hairs. Messaged about getting clean linens and they arrived quickly. Bathtub wouldn’t drain, but maintenance was there very quickly to fix it and we had no problems after. Some things to note: if you’re traveling with a large group and they stay in another unit, be aware that this property is HUGE and you might need to walk a lot. The property is huge and panama city beach is busy. So if being around a lot of people isn’t your thing, this might not be the place for you. Overall our family was happy with our stay and our condo but the area was a little too busy for us, so we probably won’t be back to Panama City Beach.

THE PARKING NIGHTMARE

We were almost an hour from the time we turned onto the street until we reached our spot on the 8th floor. The garage is an absolute nightmare. We saw one car that couldn't make the turn and clipped the concrete post. When we finally reached our unit, all needing to go to the bathroom, the code was incorrect. Luckily the office had texted me a welcome (ha) and I was able to respond that we couldn't get in. They gave us another code that worked. What would we have done if we had tried to check in after hours? The pool was the nicest part of the complex. The matresses on the bunk beds were actually box springs. When children complain about the bed, there IS a problem. The kitchen situation was nice, The back bathroom tub did not drain. You stood in water while you showered. Yes, we could have called maintenance. We would NOT have wanted them in our condo when we weren't there, so that would have meant that we had to sit in there and wait for them. The cleaning personnel should have noticed that issue when they cleaned the tub. The outdoor balcony was nice with ample seating. The AC worked well. The bottom line is that we have never stayed in such a large complex and everytime we had to leave we dreaded that parking garage. One man said it took his family an hour to get from their parking spot to the exit. THAT IS CRAZY!!!!

I wish we could have stayed forever!

We had the best time! This condo is beautiful! It is fully stocked with everything you could need while vacationing. The rooms and bathrooms are all big and have plenty of room for large families. The balcony views are nothing short of amazing! The check in process was a piece of cake and we got to do an early check-in. We loved the location and convenience to everything. We will definitely be rebooking in the near future!

Fun in the Sun

There's no place like Panama City Beach for a little fun in the sun; especially the end of October. That said, the condo could definitely use a little updating and general maintenance. The light bulb over the dining table was burnt out, the floor lamp in the corner of the living room either needs the switch replaced or the whole thing should be replaced since the only way to use it is to plug it in and unplug when you're finished. I think the sofa and love seat need a plywood platform or they should be replaced too. The photos on line are a little deceiving. We'll be back but to a different unit.

2nd time to rent

We stayed here in 2019 & loved the location and the condo, so we decided to go back to the same place 9/14/21. We were so disappointed this year, but maybe Covid has created a problem for the owners. Maybe a Shortage of cleaning & maintenance crews are the problems. 1.Kitchen granite has a huge crack-dangerous! 2.Floors are so dirty that shoes had to be worn always. 3.Pull out sofa is nasty and also broken. Could barely stand to sit there, because it made our backs hurt. 3.Signs of black mold & water leaking in the master bedroom & bathroom. 4.Dining table and other places looked like they had been cleaned with an oily, dirty cloth. I’ve never given a bad review, but I don’t want anyone else to have to deal with these problems. Sorry

Nice but not worth the price!

The not allowing you to use the property at all until 5:00 is terrible. We were told by the staff that person that owns this unit is the worst one to rent from because of that! The garage design is terrible! Traffic jams all of the time! The elevators are slow and had one broken down. The fire alarm went off twice and we never heard from the staff if it was false or not. We had to go ask both times. Three rows of rental chairs in front of the property is to Much. Anyone with a canopy is so far of the beach just to set up. The pool and tiki hut was very nice. Will not stay there again.

Not worth it for the amount of money paid

Needs some serious updating.. the couches are sitting on the ground, beds are horrible, the curtains are pretty nasty looking, and tubs could be a lot cleaner. Not to mention, the counter was nearly broken in half when we arrived and hadn't been fixed. The sliding glass balcony door was also broken 3 days of our stay, but eventually someone came and fixed that. Elevator wait and parking garage was an absolute nightmare. Since pineapple willys is right next to this condo, the wait to even get out of the parking garage is ridiculous. HOA of Shores of Panama really needs pay somebody to direct traffic in and out of parking garage. Not enough parking places for amount of people at condo. A couple of nights we had to pay to park down the road. It seems as if this location has turned into a party spot and not as well taken care of as it had been in the previous years. The best part about this condo was the view and that's about it. For the amount of money spent to rent this condo, it could be a lot nicer.

8/1/20 Housekeeping should apply more attention to cleaning floors especially with the CD-19 pandemic. My grandkids bottom of their feet became black when they walked barefooted on the floor. There is black mold growing in the condo at the secondary patio sliding doors and ceiling. Also the entryway. I think there is a leaky water pipe there. Otherwise it was clean .elsewhere. I emailed the property mgr about various items that needed repair. The spare bedroom doors wouldn’t lock. The peephole hardware was laying on the table as you entered the condo. You could peep through the opening on the door. The master closet doors collapse on you. Also the laundry room door wasn’t attached. I brought most of these issues up to the property Mrg. She told me that I could check out and get a refund. I was surprised at that response. My son and his family were in a condo on another floor with her being the property mgr. We enjoyed staying there at Shores of Panama and will stay again. We’ve always used VRBO to find our stay location. We have never had issues before. The pool was fantastic! We loved the condo but it did have those issues. Thank you
