The resort offers a newly renovated beach house with a swimming pool, deck, lounge chairs and a restaurant, 11 swimming pools (5 of them heated), six tennis courts (2 are lighted), pickleball courts, miniature golf, shuffleboard, playgrounds, gym, 24-hour security and gated community, 2 private reserved parking spaces directly out the front door, and a beautiful lagoon that goes through the complex. Gulf Highlands community is known as one of the most family-friendly resorts in the Panama City Beach area. These amenities are all FREE and our townhouse provides sporting equipment. Our townhouse is located only 3 minutes' walk from the one of 'the world's most beautiful beaches. The unit provides all the privacy you will need while located in a rapidly developing area with tremendous entertainment and shopping opportunities. You will love this 2-bedroom/1.5-bathroom townhouse and the convenience of pulling into 2 private parking spots and be right there at the door. Unload without an elevator wait and head to the beach. And of course, a strong Wi-Fi network to support all your needs (tested by our teenagers!). The upstairs master bedroom has a king-size bed, large closet, dresser, plasma TV and DVD, and a balcony porch with a sitting area overlooking the lake and providing a partial view of the Gulf of Mexico. The second bedroom has two full-size beds with a large closet and a dresser. Both bedrooms are furnished with new linens, pillows, and covers. We also provide air mattresses with extra linens and blanket, and a pack and play for infants and toddlers with its own set of linens. Bedrooms are next to the full bathroom with plenty of bath towels, a shower, and an easily accessible, shallow bathtub. Downstairs living room has a queen sofa sleeper, another twin coach, a love seat, a big SMART plasma TV along with a half bath, dining area, a fully furnished kitchen with many new appliances and equipment, barstools, and remodeled laundry room with large, high-efficiency washer and dryer. Walk out onto the patio for grilling and rest time with the great view of the lake, turtles, numerous birds, large grass area, and beautiful pine and palm trees landscaping. We furnish towels, linens, pack and play for infants and toddlers with its own set of linens, sporting equipment for tennis, putt-putt, shuffleboard, pickleball, board games, beach chairs, and other amenities. Panama City Beach was voted the #1 drive destination in Florida. Gulf Highlands Beach Resort is located in the Heart of 'The Strip'. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. The pool at the beach with the restaurant and bar was very convenient. There are so many activities to keep everyone busy!! We really enjoyed our stay over all!!! I was very impressed. The condo was well stocked with dishes, pots, utensils. There were lots of bed linens, a portable crib. There were also beach chairs and beach toys. I tried contacting the owner as she advises you to if there are any issues only to be sent to voicemail. So I left a voicemail, no response. I tried contacting owner again, no response so I emailed her no response. So then the story begins, after driving 8 hour trip to stay at a condos that I have stayed in since I was 4 years old and knew the condition of we had to try and find somewhere to spend the night. Unfortunantly you can't just stay the night at condos as they have a 3 night minimum stay. So after driving around till midnight and calling everywhere we finally got settled for a little bit higher price but what a difference. So we went to bed I woke up next morning and immediately checked my phone for emails and calls none. So I contacted the owner the next morning and was given this story that they had went to bed at 5:30pm??? and that they were just about to call me. So I told them the condo was in need of cleaning, there was a very strong odor in the condo, blood stains on the sheets,and a cockroach in the guest room floor in front of the bed and so I sent pictures to prove my story as requested by the owner, only to be hit with it is your fault for booking with some other condo and that we will get the condo clean asap for you so that you can move back in. Hello that's why the guest before me paid a cleaning fee. So I asked for a refund and was offered a refund for 1 night plus cleaning fee. I guess the owner didn't comprehend that we couldn't wait on her to decide to call me back the next morning and had to book somewhere else we finally got back half the money and was told we would have to take her to court if we wanted any more because she had talked to her husband and their mortgage was due. None of my business but she aired it so I might as well too. She promptly answered every question we had. The condo was clean & the vrbo description was accurate. Neighbors were very friendly. We took advantage of all the onsite pools & putt- putt. The property is a short walk to the ocean and the pool is also close by. It was very quiet community. The only thing which wasn't a big deal was that their is no t.v. in the smaller room which stinks for the other adult that was in our party and the grill didn't work right out back since a couple of the burners don't work on them. We were close enough to the beach without all the beach traffic. The resort had your choice of 11 pools, a gym, and a beach house right on the beach. We enjoyed the view from the back of the house( psst there is a nice pond). This house had close access to everything; restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. The entrance was technically on middle beach road, but walking distance to front beach rd.
