We also loved that each bedroom has a bathroom, that the living room had enough seating for all of us, and, of course, the big covered porch made for great sunrises and sunsets. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed to make lunches and dinner, and Kay was great to communicate with. It was too bad the pool wasnt heated, so we didnt get to use that. The location, views and house were overall FANTASTIC! A huge plus was everyone being on one level. Very spacious, even with the amount of guests we had staying! Parking was easy and there was lots of room for multiple vehicles (even large ones!). A huge downfall was cleanliness and very outdated furniture, decor and linens. The place could definitely use some sprucing up for sure. The bed linens have seen better days, and probably made the place seem more outdated than it is. The furniture is also old and needs updated- it would really make a huge difference in the overall appearance and amount of comfort you feel when you are renting a “home away from home.” There are great aspects of the property as well- the property manager was very easy to communicate with and always responsive. If you're looking for modern decor, high-end finishes and appliances, this isn't the place for you, but if you're looking for basic accommodations in a fantastic location at a price thousands of dollars lower than others of comparable size, this is your spot. Because of the stairs to get into the unit and additional stairs to get over the dunes to the beach, this would not be a suitable location for those who are handicapped or have mobility issues. Beach is not overly crowded since there are no high rises in the immediate area. Easy driving distance into Panama City or over to Destin for any activities you may want to do. Having 2 refrigerators in the unit was extremely handy since we were preparing most of our own meals, as was having a Publix and a Winn Dixie just a mile or 2 up the road.
