Around the corner is 30A near Rosemary and Alys Beach. The Castaway Condo in Carillon Beach is the perfect place for anyone looking for endless options at their fingertips. This unit is a 2minute walk to the beach has 4 shared pools (2 heated) and one beachside, a playground, basketball court, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, and a lake along with 7 beautiful beach walkovers. Castaway overlooks the fountain and the quaint township of Carillon which offers unique shopping, dining, yoga/Pilates and spa experiences. This condo has 1 large bedroom with a King-sized bed. There is also a queen pull-out sofa bed in the downstairs living area. This unit also has a large private balcony with seating and outside dining area that is perfect for morning coffee or a sunset cocktail, it overlooks the village green and charming downtown Carillon fountain and town center. Carillon Beach is an exclusive gated community located on the coveted west end of Panama City Beach and a 5-minute drive from the many beaches along 30a. Carillon Beach boasts 1 mile of private beachfront with eight neighborhood beach walkovers one of which is located at the beach club pool. We loved our stay at Carillon and at the Castaway Condo! Sometimes it's the small things and this condo had them all covered for your stay. Whether it was the nice coffee bar setup, plenty of beach towels, Roku's on the TV, extra toilet paper or beach chairs. You felt like the owner wanted you to have a fun, stress-free trip. We enjoyed our stay so much at Castaway! It was so beautiful, centrally located to all things to do. And the below market was fabulous! We loved sitting on the balcony in the evenings and hitting the coffee shop down below for breakfast. It was a very short and pretty walk to the beach. We fell in love with Carillon on this trip! The condo has everything you need and felt like home. Furniture very comfortable and clean. Host was very easy to deal with, very responsive and gave easy and precise instructions for arrival. The condo is in a fantastic location and very quiet. Elevator was just steps away from parking which made for very easy unloading and loading. We happened upon this area by accident on Vrbo, and it is absolutely a hidden gem! Our condo was beautiful, clean, and well-appointed. Melanie was quick to respond to the questions I had before checking in. We were pleased to find that there was enough hand soap, dish soap and detergent, and laundry detergent to get us through the whole week! The only things I would suggest adding are a few extra bed blankets (the one downstairs is thin and my kids were a bit chilly), a wi-fi extender for the upstairs loft (the wi-fi really did not work well up there), and a floor lamp for the living room. The location was great - the condo is right above the pizza place, and the balcony provided a great view of the market street. We enjoyed eating on the balcony, watching the sunset. The condo is an easy 5-10 minute walk to the beach and pool. The whole community is so lovely and well-designed. We hope to come back again! Thank you! ##### Kristin H. Mitch & Melanie could not have been a better host. They communicated everything very well and even sent me extra details on getting into the condo since we would be getting in late. We have stayed in Carillon for several years now, but this was our first stay in a condo. It is conveniently located above a few restaurants and stores and is about a 5 minute walk to the beach and all the different pools. We have 3 small kids, and although the condo was a little tight for 5 of us, we made it work. They provided all the essentials we needed for the whole trip (paper towels, toilet paper, etc). They also had beach towels, beach chairs, an umbrella and a wagon which was amazing and saved us $350 for the week if we rented them down there. There was one item I needed for the kitchen and I reached out to Melanie and she had me one by the next morning. If you are looking for an amazing neighborhood and easy place to stay, you have found it here. ##### Dani D. Here is a list of pro's and con's of this condo: Pros: - 3 minute walk to beach - Access to beautiful swimming pools - 2 minute walk to pickleball courts - 10 minute drive to 4 more pickleball courts behind Dune Lakes Elementary - Pizza/bar just downstairs on 1st floor - Coffee around the corner - Publix & Winn Dixie 1 minute drive away - Bedroom is huge with comfortable mattress and bedding - Kitchen has all the dishes/pans/utensils needed to prepare meals -5 minute drive to downtown Rosemary Beach with a great farmer's market every Sunday morning -Condo is on the top floor, so there is nobody above you making noise. - Nice large patio to relax on and enjoy the fountain. Cons - Living room and kitchen a little small, especially if more than 2 people - Closet in bedroom could use more hangers for longer term renters (I stayed a month) - Would have liked to have a laundry basket - No bedroom door as the bedroom is at the top of the landing. - Bad odor present frequently in the parking lot, but did not affect the condo. - Bedroom windows could use some type of black out covering if you light bothers your sleep. Overall this condo is a superb value in an unbeatable location! ##### Kim P. My husband and young son stayed and the condo was great - very clean, they were generous with all the start up items (paper towels, TP, soaps, etc.) which is a small thing but makes a huge difference. They even provided beach towels which is great! The condo itself is cute and beachy. Everything is in good, well kept shape. The chairs, umbrella and wagon that were provided were convenient and nice - it slimmed down our packing for the drive down. The beach was lovely and clean and as promised, just a 5 minute walk from the condo. We came the first week of the "off season" and at times had the beach basically to ourselves. We visited 2 of the pools and those were clean and well-kept. We did encounter an issue toward the end of our stay - the AC went out in the whole building. Melanie was very responsive and worked with us on getting the technicians in. Ultimately, the team fixed the issue but the condo couldn't cool in time (to no fault of Melanie's) and we could stand another 80+ degree night. It was the night before we were scheduled to leave so Melanie worked with us on refunding the night so we could find a cooler place to stay. It was a bummer but Melanie made the situation easy and worked with us so graciously. We recommend this place and condo! Great for a beach getaway! ##### Ellen W. Check-in was seamless and upon arrival we were so happy to find a clean, tastefully decorated space that was perfect for myself, my husband and our two kids. You will feel right at home the moment you walk-in. There is a full kitchen and living space downstairs that we took full advantage of. The extra large balcony was a perk and the market lights in the evening were absolutely charming. We truly had everything we needed for the perfect beach get away. Chairs, a wagon, and beach towels to name just a few. On top of how great the condo itself is, the location is incredible, right at the entrance to the carillon beach community. The coffee shop and pizza restaurant in the shops below were delicious and so convenient. The neighborhood is so beautiful and the beach was an easy 5 minute walk. Access to the pools was a must for our 2 kids and we loved swimming after enjoying the day at the GORGEOUS, private beach. We had friends staying in the downtown Panama City area about 15 minutes away who couldn’t believe how beautiful and quiet our stretch of beach was compared to the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas. Publix was also directly across the street and we loved being just 5 minutes from Rosemary beach. We ended up needing to extend our stay and Melanie was so amazing and responsive. She got it all set up for us and was such a great host. I can’t say enough positive things about our stay. Memories for a lifetime! ##### Kristen H. We have stayed in Carillon several times before and it is the most amazing and beautiful place on earth. This area never disappoints. But this condo is the perfect place at the perfect beach. The hosts were on top of all communication during our stay and were extremely nice. The condo has everything you need for your stay including two very nice beach chairs and a wagon. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was how clean it smelled. Not, just had bleach on the floors clean, but just really clean. The patio over looks the downtown area and it is lit up and amazing at night. It looks like it should be a romantic movie. The whole neighborhood does. I have seen reviews for Carillon before complaining about the distance to the beach but it is exactly 5 minutes from the elevator to the beach. And that is not getting in any hurry. Never waiting on the elevators and a short walk is way better to me than being 20 stories up, waiting 10 minutes for a crowded elevator, then fighting for a spot on the beach. And the beaches here are never crowded. I could write all day about this condo and this area but it truly is the best of everything. It isn't crowded and crazy like 30A or PCB. This is more like being in a laid back island town. ##### Clint S.
